We had our interview on November 14, 2014 at the San Diego Office.

It took 45 minutes and everything went well but no decision.

Ms Barrios, our officer, said 4 - 6 weeks for a notice in the mail, but its been 9 and nothing yet.

What should I do?

Anyone with a similar story here in SD?

I'm afraid to call and get summed for another interview

Make an Infopass appointment and enquire as to the current status.

Definitely make an Infopass. For ROC, we had an interview and were told to wait 3-4 weeks for an answer. No indication of problems, just the standard wait time. When we had our AOS interview, we got the approval email the same day, so after waiting for nearly 2 months with no answer on ROC, we were getting concerned. It appears that the file just sat on someone's desk until we made several phone calls and eventuallly an Infopass where we were told we were approved. It seems like that happens alot, but sometimes an Infopass can get things moving. Good luck!

By the way, I was concerned about calling and getting another interview too, but it was fine, and in the end we were really glad we did the Infopass. Sometimes the local offices get really overloaded and things don't get done when they say to expect them.

If you guys have a real marriage, the second interview shouldn't be a problem.

Think back to the first interview - were you nervous and maybe answered some questions wrong, or did one of you forget important dates or places? Something might have come off as suspicious to the interviewer.

To prepare for the 2nd interview, look over all your documents and make sure you both know all the information that USCIS knows. Practice potential questions with your spouse and "review" your relationship history together:

Strongly consider retaining an experienced immigration attorney and having them attend the second interview with you.

Second interviews are not routine, and are only done if USCIS believe something untoward is going on.
