Waiting for NVC- March wedding (split)

Hi All,

We reiceved our NOA2 on the 22nd of December and are currently waiting to hear back from the NVC. So its been about 24 days now.

We have called them and they cannot see our case on their system so they say that they have not reiceved it yet. This means that we do not have a case number yet. I assume there is no other way to get it.

We were planning on a March wedding and this delay is really putting a spanner into the works. Originally we had thought that it would only take about a week or so before they then send it onto the US Consulate in Ireland.

Anyone know how long it is likely to take before they send it to the Consulate here? Is there anything that I can be doing in the meantime?

My first post on MVJ how exciting.

So I guess I poested prematurely. We called yesterday and they could confirm that the paperwork has been reiceved. They did not yet have a case number for us and said that it could take up to 42 days before sending our info to the US Consulate in Ireland.

I really really really hope its not 42 days. Will probably call again next week to see if there has been progress.

I don't think you are in AP at this stage, based on your service center being slow to send approved petitions to NVC, or the length of time it's been.

My best advice is to call in a week and see if you can get the case number.

fwiw another poster said K1 Petitions are processed through the NVC faster than the other ones.
