Visas are not pre-printed. They are printed in the passport AFTER issuance. Validity date is printed on the visa. If you did not deal with a TB issue IGNORE the 3 month comments.

Oopa I apologize for the not being clear, I was wondering when you in the interview and after you complete the interview. Will they let you know if you were approved? and if you were approve, do they give you an option to get a earlier stamped visa date or a later stamped visa?

But your comment regarding 3 month validity only applies to those after completing the TB DOT in the Philippines,maybe in Mexico it is different... don't know which is why I don't post there. And the visa is never valid for 6 months from issuance.
