My I-130 was received by NVC on December 19th and I'm waiting for a case number.

What date in December are they at?

My I-130 was received by NVC on December 10th, 2014. My case Number was assigned on January 14th! Best of Luck and God speed through the process.

That gives me a idea at least. Going by your time mine should be ready around next Friday.

05-01-2013: FINALLY MET IN PERSON! in Canada
05-04-2013: finally became a couple
06-14-2014: got engaged
08-08-2014: got married in Canada
09-18-2014: sent I-130 via UPS, 142 pages in total
09-19-2014: I-130 arrived and signed for
09-24-2014: NOA1 text & hard copy received same day, Vermont Service Center
11-20-2014: NOA2 (I-130 approval!) hard copy received, 57 days from NOA1


12-08-2014: NVC received case
01-14-2015: case number and IIN number received via email
01-14-2015: DS-261 submitted
01-14-2015: AOS fee paid
01-22-2015: IV fee paid
01-24-2015: DS-260 submitted
01-25-2015: AOS and IV documents submitted electronically

I just checked for my case that arrived on December 19th and still no number. I actually don't expect until late next week, but I wanted to try anyway. :)

My case was approved on December 9th and NVC received it on January 14th. but this date January 14th is kinda interesting to me because many people got their case entered in the system of the NVC as received and waiting for a case number and some people had a case number on that date too. so i think that NVC collects data and process them at one time (I am not sure though. That's me thinking out loud)

So true. A lot got approved jan 14 and 15 as posted here in VJ. I just hope this is the result

Of whatever update they made on jan 12.. I am hoping they would process more in minimal time..

More proof they are not "expediting" Philippine visas. I know I'll get flamed for saying that, but it seems many are stuck at NVC...

I believe they are expediting at USCIS while NVC is not. I know mine was approved real fast and I even had a RFE.

I believe they are expediting at USCIS while NVC is not. I know mine was approved real fast and I even had a RFE.

That's terrific news, Isabela. I figured getting an RFE would set a petition way back. Good for you.

Yes, it now appears that USCIS is expediting, but DoS isn't. Can someone explain that? I rather doubt it....

I think that depends on what type of visa you applied for. If its K1 then i think it does not stay long in NVC.. It will be forwarded to the embassy.

And with cr1/ir1 documents will be received in nvc..fees will be paid. So it will stay longer..
