Quick question: Is it really neccessary to have an indentical copy of the original 129f forms and evidence subbmitted? Or is this just for my own benefit for the London embassy interview?

You do not need that to present at your interview. If you don't know your fiancés name, town, employment, or how you met, then it may be useful for you to use as a study guide. I think that is more commonly useful for fiancés who met once in person for a week and don't speak the same language.

That's cool then, thank you. Nothing to worry about then. I didn't keep copies and read the guide and it emphasized it as a matter of grand importance.

The VJ guide is written to the worst case scenario in the most difficult consulates where visa fraud is prevalent, in my opinion. Unless you are trying to pull off fraud, then you will find London quite easy. They want you to succeed. They give you a list of what to bring. It doesn't include Skype, Facebook, proof of engagement, NOA2, or a photocopy of the entire petition package because they don't care about those things.

Odd things that some people get delayed over are--

-birth certificate must have parent name (long form)

-new letter of intent if interview is later than petition expiration

-a subject access report from ACRO if the police certificate has "no live trace"

-a tatty frayed faded passport or one that expires in 6 months

-wrong police certificate from a foreign country (example Australia needs to be the fingerprint check version)

The DS-160 confirmation, proof of visa fee payment, and interview letter makes the day flow better, but even without those, people have been successful. Example-- your name is on the list so they can see it is your interview day, they will still take your payment on the day if you didn't follow the instructions to do it in advance.

Nice to know. Thanks for the advice. It seems I have everything and 10x overkill. I guess I will just give them what they ask for on the day so not to burden them. But I have everything here mentioned. :dancing: :joy:
