Do we need to make an appointment for Interview and medical? I mean, the appointment schedule won't come from the embassy?

My point was if your interview is in Canada, the process and order of doing things there could be completely different. The Canadian regional forum might give you better information if you pose the question there http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/93-canada/

Update on this.... Used my NVC letter for the medical so that wasn't an issue.

Got a reply from the embassy today saying they sent me packet three on December 30th but I still haven't received it.

They also said that they hadn't received my medical results yet.... THEN my CEAC status updated so I am not sure if that's in relation to the response to my query or if it is indeed the medical results as they should have arrived yesterday!

Further update: I got an email from the embassy today stating it doesn't matter that I never received packet three.

Hopefully my interview letter will not follow the same course, and WILL arrive safely...

P.S they also confirmed they've received my medical results

I would be curious to see the background check on the USC. I have a DUI on my background, I believe that's mainly for the beneficiary to know to see if the petitioner has been completely honest about their history.
