No Packet Three?

I know that packet three is just old terminology and that it is just essentially a letter describing what's next however should I be concerned that I haven't received one?

I booked my medical as soon as I got my case number from NVC which was about three weeks ago now. My medical is a week today (I had to leave it so late as I am currently in the US)

Once my CEAC status changed to "ready" for the embassy I went ahead and did my DS-160 and readiness form because I already have my police certificates and affidavit of support stuff ready to go. I also used the enquiry form to ask if they could note I could come with just 24 hours notice as I'm hoping to get an interview date ASAP, to which they responded I'd be given the earliest possible date.

So, in light of all this, should I be concerned at the lack of "packet three"? Because I submitted my DS-160 and readiness form as soon as they received my petition do you think they just didn't bother sending it to me?

Thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

P.S I'm not at home right now but I live with my parents who have confirmed that the letter is yet to arrive.

I think k the only things you need to bring are certificates , affidavit of support, your interview conformation letter when you receive it, any other evidence items, passport, copy of DS160 and... Can't think what else

Yeah I'm confident I have everything I need I'm just wondering if the lack of "packet three" is a bad sign?

It's not. You already know your case number so you are good . Everything else is just instructional .

For K1 applicants, there's no interview confirmation but they do ask for the letter from packet 3 stating that your case made it to the embassy. That being said, so long as your case is there and "ready" you'll be fine. I think another user (kristenxo) had her fiancé attend the medical without packet 3 and it was fine.

One thing that my fiancé got along with the instructional letter in packet 3 was copies of our original I-129F petition with "approved" and the officer's name/number that adjudicated our case.

You do get a copy of the approved petition as well as the background check on your fiance. For ours there was nothing to report but you still do get something. Plus the cover letter tells you what your next steps are. I would contact them again. We received ours about a week after the embassy had received the petition.

I'm confident I've got everything with regards to the next steps but it sounds like it's still something I might need to have. Do you mean it will have a background check of the USC?

Ours had a separate page and it just stated something to the effect that there was no criminal background info found. I can't remember the wording but I read it while I was in Scotland over the holidays. I'll ask my fiance to scan a copy of what he got so you will know exactly what you will get. The copy of the petition does have the approval stamp and the officers name and date. Also any notes they added to your petition. I would make sure you get it.

Mine took around a month to recieve from the point of when the embassy asigned my case. I found myself asking the same question on here and it eventually turned up. I even contacted the embassy, but they just told me to be patient. I was concerned for the very fact I felt that I missed something and wanted something formal to comfort the idea that everything is going smoothly. Now, I'm in the same position and waiting on the packet four and growing ever more inpatient.

Do we need to make an appointment for Interview and medical? I mean, the appointment schedule won't come from the embassy?
