My Fiance and I are really in need of some advice.

We filed on 08/15/14, and have only had our NOA1 (the same as everyone else stuck at TSC).

We were planning on getting married on 05/24/15, but we're both seriously worried that I won't have my visa by then. As things are going it looks like we probably won't even get our NOA2 until March. Which then doesn't give much time at all for everything else do be done.

We're getting quite sure that we're going to have to delay the wedding, potentially even by 3 months, taking it to August time. Which really sucks.

We had another idea though. We have a wedding venue booked for 24th May, and don't want to lose it, plus we know that both of our families are able to be there on that day. If my visa is still processing, am I able to visit the US on an ESTA as I usually do? Then we could get "married" but without the official paper, thus everything can pretty much go ahead as planned. And then I would just have to fly back to the UK to complete the process.

Which would you recommend? We're both panicking and have no idea what to do.

Sounds like this "fake wedding", for lack of a better term, would be very similar to a real one. Those are generally consider too great a risk to take, especially this far along in the process. Is the wedding venue reservation not flexible? Have plane tickets already been bought by/for family? I would just delay if I could, after waiting a bit longer to make sure that May is indeed not feasible.

Do never make any long term plans before visa actually in hand! Search the examples on this site and you will see why.

Do not risk your k-1 visa process. Everything will be fine eventually if you guys can be a bit more patient. But if you do "get married" before visa in hand, and if you are asked in the interview about it, you'd have to tell the truth. To me it is too big a risk to take.

I know how frustrating this process can be. been there, done that! Now handling AOS , I realize patience still is and always will be the key till green card actually in hand one day.
