Just received Invoive ID # and submitted DS-261

Hi All, I just submitted my DS-261 today and the instructions said to wait 3-5 days to sign in to the site in order to pay the AOS or IV Fees. I was wondering why I have to wait. Is is because it needs time to authorize me as the agent for my alien spouse?? The fees do appear on the form so CEAC site so curious on what to do next. I also would appreciate any other advice going forward. Thank you.

Hi, within a couple of days the aos fees will show up for you to pay it,,the iv bill however is not processed until the ds 261 is reviewed,which takes around 30 days, once the ds 261 is reviewed then you can pay the iv bill an fill out the ds 260. whatever you dont trouble the ds 261 because it will reset it to be reviewed in 30 days again!

am not sure what is the wait for, but I was able to pay m aos and do my ds261 same time :dance: .that was today called and got my case number yesterday :jest:

If you login and they are available to be paid then pay them! Don't wait. Just get it done. I think they are just buying themselves some time by saying wait 3-5 days. Next steps won't happen until fees are paid.

2013-01-08: IV bill invoiced & paid (kids' only)
2013-01-09: IV bill appears as paid (kids' only)
2013-01-09: IV Package emailed & DS-260 submitted online (kids only)

I received my case number yesterday and I send in my ds 261 and payed the fee. Am now waiting to pay my iv fee as soon as it comes available. Am getting closer to the end can hardly wait!! ?
