CEAC date updates??

Hi everyone. I'm brand new to the site and thought I'd tap into your knowledge about my current situation.

My fiancé was approved for his visa at the end of December (thank God!), and he was told he'd receive the passport with visa in 5-7 days. It's now been almost 3 weeks and still no passport, but the CEAC site has been updated under "Administrative Processing" about 3 times since the interview with new dates.

I know AP after approval isn't the undesirable one, and it really is just processing the packet, printing, etc, but anyone know what the updated dates actually reflect?? How much longer could it be?

I'm so, so grateful to have made it this far and wish everyone here a smooth ride to this point. Really beginning to hate the word "patience", though!

Same situation. Interview in Dec. Was told all was good, kept the passport and gave him a paper about spousal abuse once in US. And that they would call when ready....going on 3 weeks. Patiently waiting.?

Has your date been updated on CEAC? Does it say AP?

Check if has changed from immigrant visa to noimmigrant and if the creation date gas changed to a date recently. If this happened then they are ready to issued the visa, if no just wait.

When ceac status change from immigrant to noimmigrant that is good news even if you are in ap.

Thank you--the creation date has not changed and it still says IV....that's why I wonder what happens that they update the date, especially since nothing else changes. God knows I've been checking every day...lol! Will watch for the things you mentioned. Thanks!

When the date is updated that mean that they are working on it.

Also tey update the date when they answer e-mails , if you send them e-mail and they answer theu update

Thank you. I did send an email last week but didn't get a response. The date changed today after 13 days. Happy to see it, but getting more anxious everyday.

I got interviewed last December 11, but got in 221g which I submitted the paper right away that day. All updated December 16 after we keep trying call the IV unit then the status in ceac says "ready" and do updates eveytime we call and if someone is looking on our case. We keep calling on business days, and they said that IV unit is busy and they working on the Expedite applications which are the medical issues. And the other reasons that the CO still reviewing some stuffs and that they are waiting for clearance from Washington DC which they say all applications should go under that process. So finally after we keep bugging and calling them the status in ceac changed to Nonimmigrant and even the creation date. Now we are hopefully waiting they issued it soon.. Hopefully not a month again!

I thought u want the status to be immigrant visa because that is the visa for permanent residency in US while non-immagrant visa is just to visit.

K1 visa is tecnically a noimmigrant visa, because when you arrive to usa you need start a new process to get green card.

For that k1 visas change to noimmigrant when they are ready to issued the visas.

K1 visa only permit you enter to usa to get marry and adjuste status.

Saaame here. Going on 3 weeks after approval in December. Like I said, the date was updated to AP on the day of the interview (after approval, thank God), then the next day, and then on Jan 1, and finally, most recently on the 15th. All the while, it's staying in AP. Sigh. It'll be 4 weeks next week and we were told we'd get it in 5-7 days.

We're working with Pakistan. I'm praying it turns to issued soon. I would appreciate any good vibes, please!
