Hello, I am about to submit my petition to remove the conditions of my residence based on marriage but I got a divorce before the required 2 years. (The divorce is finalized). I have a couple of questions about this process and I wish some of you could help me to solve them:

1. Can somebody send an example of a cover letter to accompany Form I-751 in which I explain the reasons for my divorce and still prove that my marriage was in good faith.

2. In one of my notarized affidavits from friends who witnessed my marriage, on the bottom part where the date goes, I typed "year 2014" but the letter was not notarized until 2015, so the notary only drew a line in the middle of the 2014 and wrote 2015 above it. Everything else is correct. Do you think the USCIS will still take this as an official affidavit or do I have to redo it again.

3. Do you know if I have to submit all forms and marriage evidence by no later than exactly three months before my second anniversary of obtaining my green card, or can I submit this forms within the three months before my second anniversary (meaning i can send it anytime from 90 days before the deadline all the way to the anniversary date). I hope I made myself clear, I thank you in advance for your attention and help.

1) Affidavits don't even have to be notarized, so I wouldn't worry about that. USCIS does say that people writing letters/affidavits should be available to appear in person, although I don't know if they actually request that.

2) You don't really have to send a cover letter, although you could. Just check the box for the divorce waiver and include a copy of the divorce decree. The evidentiary requirements are the same for a waiver as for a regular filing. If you think it will help USCIS understand the file though, of course put in a cover letter. I don't think anyone can help you write a cover letter explaining your divorce if you choose not to explain it in the forum.

3) I'm confused about the timing, but I think that for a waiver filing you can file at any time. You can't file LATER than the two-year anniversary of your green card, but you can file earlier than 90 days prior.
