Hello everyone

I'm a us citizen for many year now, and my older sister work in canada. And my sister has 1 month free time to at least come to visit me. I understand that she need to apply US Visa. But what do we need to do to get this done? Do we have to involve her employer or company? What if her employer don't even wanna be involve on this? what else can we do?

Thank you guys :goofy:

So is that mean she can't apply US Visa to come to visit?

If your sister is neither a Canadian citizen or Permanent resident then she needs to apply for the US B1/B2 visitor visa to visit you. My wife's sister (Citizen of Philippines) is currently working in Canada on a temporary basis...she isn't a Canadian citizen nor a permanent resident. As such, if she wishes to visit us in the US, she has to apply for a US Visitor Visa.

Perhaps someone from the Canadian forum could chirp in and correct me if I'm wrong. I don't wish to give you bad information, but it's how I/we understand it.

Regards

If your sister is on a work permit she needs to apply for a visa to travel which is B1/B2...Is she a live-in care giver?????

I have a friend who came to Canada on work permit as a care giver ( live-in) ....before her 2 yrs up she applied for permanent resident in Canada and one month before her interview for the PR card she apply for a B1/B2 to the US where she was given 10 yrs.
