That's not what I mean at all. I still got an RFE for someone else. So that's not even what it's about.

I made this post for people who also forgot it. Mind the word forgot. Not to stress like I did. Because I was loosing my mind and just waiting for them asking the pictures. I made this so others in the same boat. Could still have hope that they didn't ask me for pictures.

I never said don't send them. They are really important obviously. But it's not worth stressing out about.

Thanks.

Congratulations for your approval !

Glad you clarified that your point was to tell others not to stress when they forget to include photos because even though photos are

secondary evidence it helps to have photos in front of landmarks that put you both at the same time in the same place.

Passport stamps alone proof that you went to the country but it doesn't proof you actually met up at the same time in the same location.

Photos do and a well rounded quality petition has varies evidence including photos, hotel receipts etc..etc.....

Though USCIS is not so picky about photos, the embassies pretty much want to see photos.

For high fraud country forgetting to include photos can be a rude awakening and front loading the petition is vital because your package

will meet up with the CO before the interview and they often base their approval / denial on what they see before they ever interview the beneficiary

or at least are heavily influenced by what the package contains or what is missing. Hope pretty much flies out the window and AP or 221g's are

dished out or they are denied. Again, I understand the point of your post but want to make crystal clear that photos for high fraud countries

are very important, just in case someone else reading misunderstands.

Pictures are fine, for both the I-129 an the interview.

I can tell you one thing, when my wife went to the interview, the 1st thing they asked for was, "do you have any pictures together?"

She was approved. But, this was 2 and 3/4 months after the medical, as she got caught up in what used to be the ""Sputum Fiasco"" that goes on at St. Luke's Medical, where on certain weeks, (before the expedited went into effect) 30-50% of the medicals X-rays, were called 'suspicious' and throw the beneficiary into a 9 week ordeal of watching and seeing if the specimen grows or not.

The week before my wife's medical, I sent her to the best clinic in Cebu for a chest X-Ray, and it was "clean" no problems, and then a week later, 'suspicious" that is so much, well you know, sorry for rambling, but I still get angry over what they put us through, for nothing.

Thank you for understanding.

When we realized we forgot the pictures. I looked everywhere online for advice. I couldn't find anyone who had the same issue. So it made me really really worried.

My friend told me its secondary don't stress out too much.

Obviously in situations like this you still worry a lot.

But I'm guessing if this ever happened to anyone else. They can read this and think. Okay there is still hope. We might not get an RFE for it.

Thank you, ayla, for the info. I did not realize that photographs together were necessary either, based on the directions for filling out the i-129 on the USCIS site. I read it as the two passport photos and then written, dated, third-party proof of your fiance being in the same place as you via credit card statements, boarding passes/airline itineraries, and passport stamps. It looked to me as if the secondary evidence of your photos, communications records, etc. were primarily for the interview. I have also read several other places that third-party evidence as named above is primary even though photos are of course nice as additional proof as well. If you don't mind me asking, what did you get an RFE for? My fiance is also from the Netherlands so I would love to hear about your experience! Thanks so much for your note on this concern and congrats and good luck!!!

Incidentally....is it possible just to send pictures to the service center before you even get an RFE and they can add it to your package? Is there someone you can call to ask? I imagine probably not but I'd hate for them to have any questions and have my fiance going into the interview with them already being skeptical just because I overlooked something in the package...

Hey! Good luck on this journey!

We called and asked them about the pictures. They said there is nothing we could do. We could only send anything if the RFE asked us for that.

We got and RFE for providing he was a U.S. citizen. Even though we added his birth certificate. So we applied for an expedite passport and send that back. And got approved within a week.

So don't worry about the pictures at all. If you have enough other evidence you are fine.

Good luck again!
