Evidence needed to prove relationship?

Hey y'all,

I'm really new to this, so I'd really appreciate any help I can get.

My fiance and I just got engaged and we are trying to throw the K-1 Visa package together, which is kind of a lot to take in.

As supporting documents for our relationship, I have screen printed every picture on Facebook of us with the dates and comments on it. it goes back to two months after our relationship started right up to our engagement when I visited him in the States a couple weeks back.

I also have my old passport with my now expired F-1 visa with my entry dates, and also my current passport with the two stamped tourist visas for when I have visited him over the past year.

Do we need to both write signed statements on how we've met and the progress of our relationship over the past 3 years?

Is there anything else we need? Do we need his passport on when he came over to Singapore with me to meet my parents?

Also, I don't think I am able to find my Alien Registration number that I got when I was doing my OPT in the States. Would that be something I absolutely need to get before I file or it is not a matter since my OPT has expired (it's been a year since I was on that visa).

I would be really grateful for any and all advice from y'alls! Thank you!! (:

Do we need to both write signed statements on how we've met and the progress of our relationship over the past 3 years? You both need to write a letter of intent, stating you will marry with 90 days of the beneficiary entering the US on the K1 visa. See example forms for a format if you need one. You may also include a separate letter describing your relationship if you wish, this is something we chose to do.

Is there anything else we need? Sounds like you have quite a lot already, flight itineraries and receipts may be useful to back up exit/entry stamps and boarding passes.

Do we need his passport on when he came over to Singapore with me to meet my parents? These passport stamps should also be included, and any other travel receipts such as hotels etc would also help.

Also, I don't think I am able to find my Alien Registration number that I got when I was doing my OPT in the States. Would that be something I absolutely need to get before I file or it is not a matter since my OPT has expired (it's been a year since I was on that visa). You can leave this blank for now.

Good luck! :)

Thank you so much for all your help! (:

Do you know if we need to enclose bank statements or will that be a later thing?

If you are talking about I-129F package ( not K-1 visa applications), yes, you will needed bank statement later - if the embassy asked for it-. You don't need to provide for I-129F.

I am not sure if F-1 visa holders are entitled alien number registration. But based on my experience, they will enclosed the number within NOA-2 hardcopy.

You will needed your alien registration number for adjustment of status.

No but Read the Guides....there are two signed documents that you need from him prior to filing the petition. What are those two documents?

Besides passport photo.....name the two documents.

Is there anything else we need? Do we need his passport on when he came over to Singapore with me to meet my parents?

If that is the meeting in person that you will reference to meet the meeting in person within the last two years requirements, then yes. If not, then save that for evidence of your ongoing relationship...needed at the interview.

Also, I don't think I am able to find my Alien Registration number that I got when I was doing my OPT in the States. Would that be something I absolutely need to get before I file or it is not a matter since my OPT has expired (it's been a year since I was on that visa).

I wouldn't sweat it.

Great. It means you have to put it when you filled out G-325A form.
