i just got email of acceptance and i got SRC15xxxxxxxxx and it says that its routed to texas service center. does anyone have the processing time for that center ??

Are you sure Vermont are not taking I-130 petitions? looking on others time lines filing the I-130 petitions, Vermont is shown with timelines of people I-130. Are I-130 Petitions being sent there, then transfer? Are other members on here just listing the wrong service center, as the one it is being process at?

Not saying you are wrong I am just curious, as to why it still shows Vermont on other members timeline

If you're looking at older timelines, the service center is probably correct. For some years, the CSC and the VSC were the only two centers that processed I-129F and I-130 petitions.

Speaking generally about speed of processing: Back when I filed the I-129F, the CSC (where our petition went) was like molasses, whereas the VSC was whipping out approvals. Later, when we filed the I-485 (for AOS) and I-751 (for Removing Conditions), they went to the VSC. Approval came in fair time, neither noticeably fast nor slow.

Ryan's earlier comment really is true -- some petition types are indeed shelved in favor of others. This was confirmed by a very prominent VJ member (now inactive) who personally met one of the directors at the VSC and got to pick his brain. Whenever the center fell behind on one petition type, they'd shift their personnel accordingly.

Yes I know about NBC and all the trouble they had, but I was asking about Vermont. Or are they the same place I am still seeing people filing I-130's from Vermont. Edited January 19, 2015 by j&ana
