i sent an i-130 application to the chicago office, with the form G1145. it shows that it landed there on friday but still until today i haven't received the text nor the email, and the check hadn't been cashed yet. please advice

To dispatch with the semantics first, the I-130 is a petition form, not an application form (you are not applying for anything).

When I filed, it took nearly a week before I received an electronic notification of acceptance and over a week before the paper copy of the receipt notice arrived.

If the check has not cleared by Friday, call USCIS and follow up.

Various factors determine how long of a wait things are at the USCIS phase. Sometimes processing of certain petitions is shelved in favor of others.

After last year's fiasco with the NBC receiving I-130's and letting them gather dust, files haven't been assigned there since all the ones they did receive were transferred to other facilities.

Your petition will go to one of these 3 centers:

• California
• Nebraska
• Texas

You won't know which one it goes to until you are informed of the one it was sent to.

You correctly identified the letters for California and the National Benefits Center. Nebraska is LIN and Texas is SRC.

Vermont has been tasked with other processes, why that does not include adjudicating I-130 petitions at this point in time, I do not know.

Are you sure Vermont are not taking I-130 petitions? looking on others time lines filing the I-130 petitions, Vermont is shown with timelines of people I-130. Are I-130 Petitions being sent there, then transfer? Are other members on here just listing the wrong service center, as the one it is being process at?

Not saying you are wrong I am just curious, as to why it still shows Vermont on other members timeline
