As my I129f and I130 were approved I am getting proactive and filling out the forms now to be ready when it is time to pay fees and send documents. My question is on the I864 it ask for income but seems like it does not have a place where you can place additional income.

I am a US Army combat veteran and receive a monthly compensation amount due to service connected disabilities. I also work for the Veterans Administration.

My compensation amount alone exceeds the poverty guideline and my regular employment salary alone exceeds the poverty guideline.

I need to know how and where can I put both of these amounts on my I864. The disability compensation is non taxable and naturally my regular job is taxable....dont know where to put these amounts!!!

How do i submit the I864?

You can use your regular employment salary. Please remember, it says the second and third year are optional, however, some people have received request asking for this information. You have the option to put as much information as possible so you won't receive any annoying request for more information or a co-sponsor. I was approved by NVC but the embassy turned around and asked me for a co-sponsor. I wish I included everything at first.

13.a 2014 tax income if you can. They ask for a tax transcript or photocopy. You can give a photocopy of your proposed taxes for this year.

Assets are in Part 7. You want to include your compensation from the VA in number 3 of part 7. Let me know if this helps you.

Ow, if it is not taxable, it gets tricky. You may want to include your retirement amount if you are still a little worried, this is taxable.

VA disability compensation is tax free, it is not treated as income as far as taxes are concerned. I received a answer from another veteran in a private message along with your answer about putting the VA compensation in part 7 is the way for me to go...thank you for your answer
