Is there a reason why uscis dont share oath dates & location over the phone !??

Just talked to a level 2 IO, she said We Do Not share that kind of info over the phone. your oath ceremony has been scheduled, a letter will be mailed to you. if you dont receive it within 35 days give us a calll !

If they sent me a letter i should know about my oath in 2 to 3 days ...so why is it such a big deal to them ....?? Just wondering

I imagine it is because they cannot verify it is you over the phone; it is for your own privacy and safety.

They want people to rely on written information in the form of the letter. They don't want issues where an officer may inadvertently give bad information and then it come back to cause problems.

It's a bag of mixed nuts. It you get one officer that refuses to give you the info, you might call back and get another who gives you all the information.

Happened to me.

I received the info about my oath date over the phone, just about a week ago.

I called too after I got oath scheduled email . Officer informed I am scheduled for February 13 oath ceremony.

That's Friday the 13th!

I hope it will be a lucky day for you!
