UMm. Sure , if you like Craig's List, tvm section.

Hell, he probably has the dirty on so many CEOs he doesn't need to waste money on a formal education.

FWIW, I completely agree with this comment:

Coulter agreed. “Stop robbing the middle class with this scam of a college education,” she said.

FWIW?

So you think it is a scam to educate yourself? You think college is a scam or you think college education is a scam? Just trying to get some clarity here.

FWIW = For what its worth.

I think that its overpriced. I think Universities have grown too large and are more in the business of taking in money and handing out diplomas. I understand education is important and I know about the huge contributions universities make to the scientific community. But, I think there needs to be more focus for lots of kids in the middle class towards technical schools. There are lots and lots of jobs in the technical world such as tool and die, welding, robotics, etc that are nearly impossible to fill with the current workforce. These are perfect jobs for the middle class but we as a society tend to look down on this type of job/education. Even when they typically pay way more than bs bank or mortgage company jobs people "earn" with their $100k degree. The vast majority of degrees given out to every year's graduating class are worthless IMO. Nothing but a money grab.

Her cross is probably made from Republican ####### clay, spray painted with silver, and she probably did some kind of evil chant over it everyday to make sure it stays unblessed. That could also be fake skin around her neck. hmmmmmm now that's an idea.

Supernatural!! I knew I liked you for some reason.

Day one fan here. Been watching it since Season 1 first episode. Hit me up tonight on hangouts. Want to see how you're doing.

Huh?

You've been gone too long. You know Lib can't let a jab at black people or Muslims slide, no matter what the topic. We could be talking about solar panels and it would still make it into the conversation.

There we go. Now I understand your stance.

Couldn't agree more with the prices. And technical jobs are not pushed more, I was looking at some crane licensing schools in my area, couldn't find one. This is freaking TEXAS! For my hubbie of course.

How about doing away with student loans and go back to only using public money to fund public universities? Give states more power to negotiate with universities over fees? Private schools can continue to exist, through private funding.

I agree. Again, why can Europe accomplish something the good ole U.S.A. cannot. This is ridiculous. You would think we would encourage a more intelligent society. American is waay to stuck on the thems and us's.

True.

I worked for a college a few years back and it amazed me how they would provide basic health and safety and safeguarding courses to their employees, as they were required to under law, and then billing the government for it.

If you were training to be a teacher they'd bill you for tuition and then claim funding from department of education. Crazy.

High school students today are reading books intended for children with reading levels far below those appropriate for teens, according to a recent report.

A compilation of the top 40 books teens in grades 9-12 are reading in school shows that the average reading level of that list is 5.3 -- barely above the fifth grade.

"A fifth-grade reading level is obviously not high enough for college-level reading. Nor is it high enough for high school-level reading, either, or for informed citizenship," writes Sandra Stotsky, professor of education reform at the University of Arkansas.

"The single most important predictor of student success in college is their ability to read a range of complex text with understanding," Coleman writes. "If you examine the top 40 lists of what students are reading today in 6th–12th grade, you will find much of it is not complex enough to prepare them for the rigors of college and career.

Only 34 percent of students were rated reading "proficient

I'm sorry, you're not making any sense. By making community college free, you're allowing people the chance to go to school who normally wouldn't be able to obtain a degree because of financial hardship. Your gripe about high school doesn't belong here. That's another problem all together.

I know you have to attack Obama no matter what he does. If you didn't, your head would explode. Just wait a bit, I'm sure there's an article out there about black people or muslims doing something that you can sink your teeth into.
