AOS (I485, I765, I130 etc etc) - What address?

Hello all

Further to my previous thread, I've had my medical and now I have everything ready to post this morning.

I'm just re-reading it for the 103rd time, and realize that on some forms I've used my UK home address, and in other places my wife's address here in the US.

Because I'm physically here in the US, I'm thinking that's the address I should use?

Why am I so nervous!

I wish to clarify:

1, I have a home & address in the UK - I simply havent been there much since August 2013. I mean that literally - probably spent not more than 6 weeks there in 18 months.

2, I have been here fully legal; VWP at first, then B2 visa for the last 2 six-month visits. Current visit expires Feb 3rd

3, In that time, aside from those ~6 weeks, I've been here, visiting my then friend/then gf/fiance/then wife at her home & various visits around the USA.

4, My concern is that if I put my USA address on the forms, for example, I130 (section C), will they think I've been trying live here illegally. Conversely, if I put my UK address, will they think I'm trying to trick them?

We are now married, so I guess that "forgives" a lot - I'd just rather get all my forms sent in as near to perfect as I can the first time around.

Definitely that is the address you should use. Forget about any UK addresses.

What about question 19 "Your relative's address abroad" - should I put my UK address there?

And question 21 "last address at which you lived together" - because we never considered ourselves living together BECAUSE of my non resident status; Whilst we may have pushed the boundaries, we never fooled ourselves or anyone else - we never intended to get married so soon... we just did!!!

So should I put "our" US address on question 21, even though technically I'm not allowed to live here, yet?

As a sidenote, I did use "our" US address when asked at the PoE, so they do know I'm here, and that I've been here on & off (though mostly on) since August 2013.

But now you live together - that's the whole point of AOS - so do not hesitate to put your US address as the one you live or lived together at. Otherwise they may question your marriage validity. Don't worry about "living together' on B-2 thing - they need to see you live together since you're married.

For the address abroad - I don't remember what I put there since it's been few years (AOSed from L-1B), but I think I used US address pretty much everywhere.
