Hi all,

Just wondered what people think is the best route for a fiance coming from the Philippines on her visa, I was considering setting up a flight through Hong Kong but not sure if she would be held up or not on exit if we decided to spend a night there. The other option I have is to send her through Guam to Honolulu. I'm planning on meeting her on her way here either in Hong Kong or Guam and riding back with her too.

Why so many layover, Try to book her a flight direct to your major airport near your home city and pick her up there.

I you are willing to meet her in Guam or HK, why not just fly a little farther and meet her in the Philippines? I personally would travel to the US POE and final destination as directly as possible with minimal stop-overs...but that's me.

I understand your thinking, wanting to spend a night, but your going to be her lagged, and she will be jet lagged. As other said, direct flight over, met her at POE. We will have one stop, probably japan, with the minimum layover so total flight time should only be around 19 hours. So much better then having one day stay over.

as others on here have mention you should book a flight with less stop overs, from looking at the flights from Manila it looks like if you fly thru Hong Kong or Guam, you will have 3 layovers. There are flights thru Tokyo with only 2 layovers. Tokyo, and either (Denver, San Francisco or Los Angles)

Also as other have mention, if you are going to fly to Hong Kong to meet her. you should just fly to the Philippines and fly back with her from there

What part of the Philippines is she in?

PAL with non-stop flight from Manila to Los Angeles. Los Angeles to Phoenix...airline of your choice.
