My dad did his interview today and his case was put on "Administrative Processing" they need a written explanation from the NBI. He already did the interview and everything at the NBI on the 7th my questions is does anybody know how long till the embassy receive that letter?

One more thing, I never paid the visa I thought they will ask him to pay for it on his interview but they didn't, they took his passport though. Has this happened to anybody? I'm so lost right now I am going home in 2 weeks and I want to bring my dad with me when I get back here thanks so much for the help.

I think if you never paid the Fee. The Interview it is automatic Denial or a request. NO VISA GRANTED

I believe that is the another fee I forgot exately what it is processing fee or something fee that you can paid either at the interview or at the POE it is better to paid it at interview it sounds like if they kept his pass port he has been approve

POE is point of entry that is the first city of a state or territory of the USA that you will land in and go thru immigration

The immigrant visa fee is paid at NVC unless your case is expedited then it will be paid at USEM on the day of the interview.

Maybe you're referring to the immigrant fee of $165? If yes, you can pay that online via ELIS at the USCIS website once your dad got his visa.

No, I am talking about the $325 immediate related visa fee, NVC never asked me to pay for it and I don't remember it being expedite but the embassy never asked my dad for it either, they just took his passport interviewed him and put the case on hold because he needs the written explanation from the NBI.

You can check here if its been paid or not. You will need the MNL case number and Invoice ID Number. It's quite impossible for NVC not to charge you the IV fee.

Petitions No matter what the Content Require a Fee. Understand the difference between Forms/Petitions/Requests/Affidavits.
