At least the dang date changed. They are still absolutely lying, but it's more on par than May... which has been May for months now. -.-

Still absolutely absurd though - my fiance and I are over 6 months and because of their stupid 'date' I can't file an inquiry that will do anything for our case. TSC needs a swift kick in the rear.

If you've passed 6 months, I would recommend contacting the omsbudsman and e-mailing TSC if you haven't done so. CSC surprised me and replied to my e-mails. The omsbudsman replied to me in 2 days. I haven't seen anyone on VJ say if TSC is or isn't responsive to e-mails.

Just curious: are tier 2 USCIS people refusing to do anything for you? Or can you not get past the tier 1 people?

What is discouraging about that to me is for the past 2 months' updates- October and November- uscis moved through only the April and May petitions. Those were the months where a huge number of files were transferred. How bad will next month's update be since June is actually a full workload for them? I can't see TSC continuing this month-for-month trend when they have a full workload back to do. I'm so pessimistic, I'm predicting 8-9 months for noa2 for me.

I quickly got past the useless Tier 1 and two weeks ago a Tier 2 opened a case inquiry for us, just before Christmas. It was closed out by TSC saying that we are within our normal processing time, even though by then we had already passed our 5 months. I visited the omsbudsman page but it said that we should not open an inquiry unless 60 days has passed from the 'standard' processing time - making that 7 months. I don't see why I can't try and open a case with them anyways. I am unsure how to go about emailing TSC though. I believe I saw some emails floating around but if someone can direct me to them, that would be great.

I've already gone the Senator route with no response from USCIS yet (early December). This is getting beyond frustrating. I understand each case is different, but TSC is beginning to grate on my nerves. My fiance is getting more annoyed as the day goes on - what a great introduction to our country! :ranting:

Well good news is that now some of the early June people who haven't been approved yet can go do an inquire to their case. And at least they are in the right month: we still have quite a few June people who are waiting to be approved. Let's just hope that the 8 people approved yesterday is a sign that USCIS will be faster from now on.

I wrote (filled out the form) to the Office of Ombudsman last Friday - I totally missed the request to wait 60 days passed standard processing time. Although I had to provide petition specific information my comments were centered on the process that thousands are caught up in and we are all finding so incredibly frustrating. The main points I raised in the form:

1 - May 6th date not updated since 10/31/2014 and how that impacts our ability to inquire about and move our petitions along.

2 - Vast disparity in processing times between CSC and TSC - quick analysis of states feeding to each center and how this needs to change to prevent ongoing backlog and imbalance.

3 - Varying and conflicting status updates I've received via 800 number - pointed out that I am left with a feeling of pacification not communication.

I have not heard back from them yet, so I will of course let everyone know whether or not they are going to make inquiries or tell me it's too soon for me to be making this request.

I have given over to the feeling that there is little to nothing I can do to shrink the timeframe but I do continue to inform any channel I can of what we are experiencing.

Yep, that's the one I used.

That link used to provide e-mail addresses to CSC, TSC, and their supervising office. I can't seem to find them now. Weird.

For TSC, I would try TSC-NCSC-Followup@uscis.dhs.gov. Put your service request number in the subject heading and in your e-mail say your service request was not helpful, that it has now been over 6 months, and when you applied, 5 months was normal. It doesn't seem right to always be moving the goal post.

If they don't respond to you within a couple weeks, I recommend forwarding your e-mail to scopsscata@uscis.dhs.gov. That is the e-mail adddress of the office that oversees the service centers. They replied to my e-mail in less than an hour. It was crazy. That being said, I had plenty of documentation by that point of CSC's conflicting answers to my questions that showed how poorly they had done.

Of course my issue hasn't been resolved, so I can't say those steps will necessarily work BUT they have been responsive and given me a little more hope.

Yes. I can't tell if all of these "customer service" representatives are lying as to the status of TSC or just clueless. My guess is the latter, but they will become hostile if you try to tell them their information is outdated. It clearly says "As of November 30" and they will still say they're just processing June 5 now.

I strongly believe they are neither lying or clueless. It's just uscis' way of not actually having to be held accountable. Them: "This is the published date so this is the date"

Us: "yeah, but that was updated November 30th and it's now mid-january"

Them: "that's the date that we are processing"

Actually, I guess in a way it is lying because obviously they can recognize that the data is out of date. It's just a way to buy themselves more time and not have to actually do anything they don't want to do re: inquiries into our cases.

And this, too.

I wish they would have just raised the damn fees. Or even given the option of paying a hefty fee for expedited processing. We would gladly have paid. Being apart has cost us a few thousand $$ and counting.
