Had our interview yesterday. Interview was super easy. He had already printed out our approval documents beforehand. Just asked me those basic questions of if I've ever tried to overthrow the government, killed anyone, drugs, etc.

Green card is only vaild for 2 years since we've been married for less than 2 years. Was told that basically after 2 years we need to update the status. Was told this costs about $600. Price might go up.

my online case status still says that my interview is schedule for the june1rst. It hasnt changed since i received the first notice. i got worried and called immigration at one point to doublecheck that they knew i couldnt make it. I talked to a tier 2 officier and after that i received a formal letter of cancellation saying that it will be rescheduled. My online case status never changed all that time

Has anyone who got an Interview Waiver Letter heard anything? I'm getting nervous. I've heard terrible stories of people waiting like, 5 years for their Green Cards. Should we be nervous we haven't heard anything? Does a Waiver letter mean we still might not hear anything for 6 months? Or more??

I want to say we received our waiver letter a few weeks ago and from what I've heard it does take longer.

However, you can keep renewing your EAD/AP combo card for free while you wait.

Had our interview today in Portland, Or. Approved on the spot! Yeah! The interview lasted about 10 min. The officer was very nice and did most of the talking. The only question he asked was "Tell me your name please":)

Finally our status on uscis website updated : " we ordered your card and will mail it to you."

Had our interview on Tuesday. We were approved on the spot! The interview lasted about 45mn. Our officer was incredibly thorough. She allowed my stepkids to come in too. She verified everything. Looked over every proof, asked for a few specific ones. I was missing one of them but she said she had plenty. We have been married over 2 years. Afterwards she said I Am going to approve your file but you will get a conditional green card cause you were married less than 3 years. I was bummed about that but I was happy we passed. 30mn later I got the texts and email notification that the welcome letter was mailed. Then an hour later the officer called me and told me she made a mistake and that I will be receiving the 10yr card. I am so relieved cause I thought they must have just changed the requirements like last night from 2 years to 3. In he office I didn't want to argue abou that so I didn't mention it. In 3 years I m going to apply for citizenship because my husband and I are expecting our fourth child so I am not going anywhere. Good luck everyone. Thank you for all the insight and support. Recieved a text messege today, my greencard is in production, will get it in few days..
