Green card came in the mail today and after sending them paperwork, calling and correcting it at the interview... my birthdate is still wrong. Have to make an infopass to get my stamp and ask for a replacement card :( :(

Hi all!

We're joining this forum a bit late, but we sent in all of our stuff in late December and got the notification January 5th that everything had been received.

Biometrics and everything are done, have the EAD and AP, but still waiting for any word on our Green Card. Has anyone else had their case completely silent since it was received? We haven't even heard if it was transferred anywhere. :(

All that we are and all that will be we dedicate to the One who brought us together

We're in the exact same boat! We got the EAD really quick. The USCIS case status has had no changes since January 22nd. It says it's with the National Benefits Center still. I even checked processesing times and there is nothing in there about the i485. We've also submitted two case inquiries and haven't heard back. We are thinking about calling. Maybe we missed something?

Me too. Still waiting. My case status still says "fingerprint fee received" and hasn't been touched since Jan 27, the day it was received. I got my EAD and AP in March, but nothing since then.

A few weeks ago I went to the social security office to change my SSN name to my married name. They said they couldn't change it because USCIS hadn't updated their records to reflect my new married name. But I already have an EAD card in that name! How can their records still have the old name when they sent me something with my new name on it? So frustrating.

Green card interview was yesterday - approved!

We went to the one in San Bernardino. Our appointment was at 7:15am so we got there at 6:45. There was a small line outside the building as it hadn't officially opened yet. It opened at 7 and they let us inside. We went through a small security checkpoint and then upstairs to wait to be called. Our interviewer was a nice older gentleman who was very calm and friendly. He asked us to take an oath and then if we were married, if we had kids, lived together, and then proceeded to ask my wife if she was a part of any social groups and went down a checklist of questions like "have you ever been arrested" or "have you been part of a communist party". Then he asked if we had any photos we'd like to share so we gave him 7 or so. He looked at her passport and laughed because he thought it was "really neat".

We gave him copies of all the documents we brought and he went through them and gave us back the ones he didn't think he needed. After that, he left the office for a few minutes, came back, and gave her the passport back. He took her EAD and punched a hole in it and said "You don't need this anymore. I'll give you something better!" and then stamped a piece of paper with an approved stamp and gave it to us. He said "Congratulations!" and just gave us some instructions on how to renew it in 2 years. Then he walked us out.

That was it! Feels real nice and we can breathe again lol.

I'm joining this thread late too, but better late than never :D

Congratulations to everyone already approved! Wish my case would move along too, though... Been waiting since Jan 8th, case status still says "on January 8th we received the fingerprint fee for your case". Other than that, nothing. Well, I did get my EAD and AP approved in less than 60 days, but I want that green card too! :D as I'm sure a lot of people do. No idea where my file is at, if it's even left NBC to our field office or not...

I had the same issue when going to get a driver license with EAD.. They just had to make a manual inquiry to DHS, to see if the EAD that I showed was really in their SAVE database. Not sure if SSA will do this kind of checking, but DMV did, and gave me a case number that I could check online to see when it got through, so I knew to go back to the DMV for another try. Apparently for some reason or another they just sometimes don't update their systems, and the government and state offices will check those databases and can't find you, so you can't get done whatever it is you needed to get done (in your case, name change), although you technically do have everything they need. Sucks.

Edit. Although reading your comment again, I'm not sure if it was an issue of your info not showing in the database, or it being there, but just in the wrong name... Can't you use your marriage certificate for proof of legal name change?

Submitted a case inquiry last week. Received a interview waiver letter today. Seems to take longer with the letter, but passing up the interview is nice.

Just received the Notice of Potential Interview Waiver letter today. The letter is dated June 11, but there still no change on my online case status since I submitted on January 27th. Online it still says "Fingerprint Fee Received". I know this means I now have at least another 6 months, probably more, but at least it is SOMETHING and I know my case hasn't been completely lost.

I was hesitant to actually use my Advanced Parole to leave the country and wanted to wait to get a green card but now with this, I don't think I can wait that long to go home to visit.

We got initial interview request letter today, interview date :7/20 . But online status on uscis website never changed.

One of the documents they require is A completed medical (I-693) and vaccination in a sealed envelop(unless it's already submitted). I did finish the medical exam and vaccination before I arrived here. Sealed envelop already gave it to embassy later submitted at the airport. In I-485 package, i sent another copy of vaccination form. Do I still need to prepare I-693? Thanks guys.
