Current Status: We mailed you a notice requesting additional evidence.

On February 2, 2007, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence

and/or information in this case. Please follow the instructions on the

notice to submit the evidence and/or information requested. This case

will be held in suspense until we either receive the evidence or the

opportunity to submit it expires. Once you submit the information and/or

evidence requested, you will be notified by mail when a decision is

made, or if the office needs something further from you. If you move while

this case is pending, call customer service.

If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case

status results listed above, or if you have not received a decision from

USCIS within the current processing time listed*, please contact USCIS

Customer Service at (800) 375-5283.

*Current processing times can be found on the USCIS website at

www.uscis.gov under Case Status & Processing Dates.

It means what it says - they mailed you a notice requesting additional evidence - something was missing or lost from your application or they need more proof of something you supplied. When you receive the actual RFE, you return what they asked for and they will continue processing.

It means they are sending you a letter asking you for more information on your case. Whether you sent it previously or not, just send them what they ask for in the letter in a timely manner...
