Contacting NVC - Updated Info (same phnoe) on their Website effective January 12, 2015

Hello all,

Just wanted to let you know that the NVC Contact info page at http://travel.state.gov/content/visa...formation.html last week said things were changing January 12, 2015.

I went on today to make sure I was calling the right place, and it says they are now processing immigrant and nonimmigrant visas. They also said they are improving their phone systems. So, the phone number and hours appear the same, but .... We'll see if it gets any better!

Not sure anything here really changes for anyone, but just FYI. I would recommend checking every once in a while in case of changes due to the phone upgrades.

i do saw an aretical from February 2015 their going to update the phone system, my question is adding a phone lines can they reduced the waiting time at nvc?

My guess, if you mean overall waiting time to get our petitions from the NVC to the respective embassy, would be No.

If you meant phone waiting times, my answer would be Should be less.

Well I can tell you Thursday I tried, I got through on 5th try and the wait was only 20 mins as opposed to >30 tries and >30 mins every other time.

And good news was, I finally got a case number and now I have the invoices. THINGS ARE HAPPENING.

Nice for you, PVA. Don't see many Costa Rica petitions. Having been to that amazing, beautiful, welcoming nation, I'm surprised your petition isn't reversed! I'd move to Costa Rica in a heartbeat.

well, like many stories here, not everything can be taken at face value Yes, a lovely country with lovely people, but the circumstances for our families make us need to be here. I'm sure you understand.
