That was easy.

We just had the interview. He asked a few questions, asked to see no originals and just collected our proof of joint life into the file. Green Card approved on the spot.

Awesome, congratulations!

Got my SSN last Saturday (April 25th), got an interview to work the day before (24th), started to work Monday, 27th) and got my driver's permit today, after I pass the test on first go. :)

Got a letter for interview on 25th as well. Interview is scheduled for 7:45am on May 27th.

Very busy week. But good busy.

Yesterday was my birthday, today is our first anniversary, and tomorrow is my wife's birthday.

So busy, busy good. :)

Hi all,

We are new to the forum. Here is our timeline. I am a US Citizen and husband is adjusting status from H1B:

September 2014 - Married
January 14, 2015 - Applications mailed to USCIS Chicago
January 17, 2015 - Applications delivered by USPS
January 20, 2015 - Applications accepted by USCIS
January 29, 2015 - E-mail and text receipts received
January 28 and 29, 2015 - Checks cashed
Mid-February, 2015 - Biometrics Notice received by mail
February 27, 2015 - Biometrics appointment date
March 6, 2015 - I-485 status update says they are ready to schedule an interview
March 24, 2015 - I-765 EAD card ordered
March 24, 2015 - I-131 AP Approved
April 1, 2015 - EAD card mailed
April 3, 2015 - EAD card delivered

During this time the husband renewed his passport. He also accepted an offer for a new job starting next month. The hiring process went smoothly partly due to the EAD card! I'm a little concerned we haven't been scheduled for an interview yet. It has been ready for scheduling since early March. Is this normal? We live in Seattle if anyone has experience with our office.

If they don't update in 90 days, by June 6, you shouldcall them. Each case is different I guess depending on the location. mine never said "ready for interview", went straight from "fingerprint fee" to "interview scheduled"

Nope, just the pictures of my husband meeting my parents. No originals, though I packed then just in case.

Interview went well, approved on the spot and i485 online case status immediately updated to "card ordered".

African American lady officer was very nice, she interviewed us for a long time (45 mins or so) but it was mostly just small talk. Also I have kind of a crazy story with my previous marriage, so it gave us a lot to talk about.

She did ask for all original documents, and everything else we had new to support the application. Thankfully we were very well prepared and had everything. Also made us sign some documents about acknowledging the 2 year conditional status.

She gave me back the EAD card after making copies.

Overall, it was a nice, pleasant experience and the entire process took less than 4 months.

Hey I was just wondering if you received the card yet? If yes, how long after the welcome notice did they send it to you?
