Biometric letter received for an appointment on the 6th.

Hi SOP, could you please post your timeline of events so those of us coming along behind you can judge how many days from your original AOS filing you got bio appointment and other things that you will be getting?

Also would be helpful to know what service center is processing your documents.

Thanks, Leo

VVVLLL

Thank You!

I noticed after your reply that the slip I put on the mail box after I moved here had been removed.

I put another one with our names in, and report the problem with the post office.

I also contact the USCIS, and they haven't received a return mail yet, and require for me to wait 15 days before they can give me the information by phone. So she asked me to call Wednesday again if I don't receive my mail by then. I hope the mail is late, and I get the letter soon.

Still no news on the RFE , Nelly?

I called them up, and they created a case file about the non delivery.

The woman on the phone said someone would contact me, but to give 15 to 30 days for them to do so.

Yesterday I receive an e-mail saying that my mail had returned as undeliverable, and requested me to follow a link. I did so, but that link was for creating the same case file.

A week has passed since I called, and no one has yet to contact me.

I'll try to call again today and see if someone will give me some info.

I can't believe the post office can just do that, and stop delivering mail out of their own will with no request of doing so.

After talking to them again on the phone they told me another letter was sent the day before yesterday. Hopefully I'll receive that letter soon.

I called again the postal office to tell them my letter had been returned to the sender, and the person said that they would talk to the person responsible for delivering the mail.

I plan to call again tomorrow and see how that talk went, and make sure it happened.

I still don't understand how someone can just take you off of the delivering list without anyone making a request to have such of name removed and not delivered.

I get a bunch of junk mail, and mail from people I don't know to my address, but my mail gets sent back?

Unbelievable!

I have a pobox, and thought of changing thE address to mail there, however a friend has mailed something to me and returned as undeliverable as well. [shakes head], plus the box is on a different city. so I can't check the mail everyday...

Just got a letter asking me to go for a second biometric appointment because the FBI could not read my fingerprint...I am bummed..

Hey when did you do your first biometric appt? I'm a bit worried because the guy who did mine was distracted by a co worker and skipped a step I think

Did my fingerprinting on the 6th. My fingerprint has always been hard to get because I have tiny fingers. During the biometric appointment, they were having trouble getting one of my finger so they override it and say "we'll come back to that later", but after we did the rest, he did not go back to it and said it is all good. I am really annoyed now, I should have said something and insisted that they get that one fingerprint right. My new appointment is in the middle of march, I might try to walk in tomorrow and see whether they will do it tomorrow.

Finally got the RFE.

Asks for my wife's tax return and proof of US citizenship from my friend (cosponsor) . I didn't look at the papers he gave me, as I didn't want to invade any of his privacy. I mentioned to him the requirements, he probably just forgot about it.

My wife never had a tax return done, this will be her first time, as she got her first job last year.

Could anybody tell me how long the process takes?

I'm thinking of getting someone doing the tax return for us, since we are unfamiliar with it.

I wonder if it would be better for her to do a joint or not as well. I don't have anything to contribute, as I have no job, as I wait for the EAD.

Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you!
