hi VJ members!

sorry for my absence...since my fiancé came I was so busy and a lot of things had change for me.

ok, we got married. but for economical situation I couldn't start filling the aos the lawyer wants a lot of money and he says that i have to fill all documents together but I couldn't get all that money at the same time. somebody told me that I can do it step by step just it will take more time to get the green card. is she right? if so which one is the first one?

can I do it by myself?

I did it myself.

Lawyers do not have access to a faster option.

We did AOS ourselves. Never heard a lawyer going through the process any faster but charging you for something you can do yourself.. All depends on how fast you can fill out all required forms and provide all the supporting documents together. You can follow the guide provided here on VJ, or QQ, whatever helps you best. Good luck to ya!

Follow the guidelines here in visajourney, and check the example forms too. Also, when you download the forms from USCIS.gov , download the instructions and read them carefully.

You can do it yourself. Good luck!

You can definitely do it yourself! Just fill out your forms, keep yourself organized and sit back and wait......it is definitely NOT a fast process! But the sooner you file the sooner your hubby can work and travel.

Yes Mam!! you can! I filed my Fiances all by myself! You can do it Chica!! No worries I'm here for you and so is the rest of VJ Family! :dancing::secret::secret:

I even got my Hubbys EAD expedited and he was got his EAD Combo card and was able to work within two weeks of the expedite.

And it doesn't take any longer to do it by yourself.. I believe it's better because you care so much about your case that you nitpick and try to follow every step... so I think if you follow the guides you'll be fine.

~ Jan ??,2013 ~ Service Center ~ Vermont I-129F Packet sent

NOTE: Actual sent date unknown due to lawyer negligence - I delivered ALLForms and PAID Lawyer on Nov 7, 2012 - Lawyer kept saying he sent the packet and USCIS must have lost it. (IMO it's better to save your money for visits to or from your Fiancé and just fill it out yourself using the K-1 Guide on VJ and Senior Members... They Rock!!!)
