DS-230 Questions

Apologies if this has already been addressed...

I'm filling out my DS-230 now in anticipation of my packet 3 (any day now).

For question 25 regarding previous visits to the U.S. It lists from and to dates but only the months. I've had many visits so I'll be attaching a sheet.

If I have made 2 separate visits in the same month (say 12-08-2006 to 12-10-2006 and 12-22-2006 to 12-29-2006) do I just put that down as one visit as 12-2006 to 12-2006 or do I list it twice since they are two trips or should I list the exact dates in the attachment?

I know, I'm over thinking this.

I, for one, do not think that you are overthinking this. I am in the same boat, but for years of truck driving with 2 trips minimum per month---but, I do not remember the dates anymore (1988 - 1992).

I have one entry that I'm listing though as "multiple visits as a child" and the years (over a 10 year period). I have no idea what those dates were, just that they were over the summer.

I put specific dates when I knew specific dates, and more general timeframes when I wasn't exactly sure. Knowing the fairly open US/Can border, this is a bit more acceptable in our petitions than other countries.

Did you say "over the summer" on the written form or did you wait until you were at the interview to explain?

Thanks Cassie. I think to be on the safe side, I'll put down exact dates if I know them.

Knobby, for the childhood visits, I'm putting down "multiple visits over summer vacation as a child" with the years listed. I haven't received my packet 3 yet (should be this week).

Hey Cassie, one more quick question. Under "type of visa", what do us Canadians put down? B2? Visitor/Tourist?
