F2A i864 Affidavit of Support - Plz advice

I am a Greencard Applicant,

My spouse submitted i864 (Affidavit of Support) in March 2014.

My Priority date is 22July2013.

I have heard that the AOS validity of for 1 year only. And due to retrogression my case for

delayed.


My question is, Do i have to submit AOS again when my Priority date becomes current. As it will be more than one

year from the day I submitted the Affidavit of Support?


Your response in the matter will be highly appreciated.

I am in same situation as urs. And asked this to experienced vj members. According to them,there is no need to update it if ur interview is before 15 April. But u should hv recent tax related docs,pay stub n employment letter too.

05/24/2013 - Priority Date

05/29/2013- NOA 1 Hardcopy Received

09/09/2013 - Transfer Notice: VSC to NSC

11/06/2013 - NOA2- Approved

11/08/2013 - Case Shipped to NVC

11/11/2013 - NOA2 Hardcopy Received

NVC Stage

12/18/2013- Received Case Number & IIN (Recieved on phone: 12/17/2013)

12/19/2013- DS-261 generated & filled

12/20/2013- AOS fee bil generated & paid

12/24/2013- IV Pakcet fee bill generated

12/26/2013- IV Packet fee paid

01/04/2014- DS-260 filled & submitted online

02/04/2014 - AOS Packet sent

01/15/2014 - IV Packet Sent

02/08/2014 - Received FALSE Checklist

but i am not sure if i may be able to get the interview date before 15th April as my priority date is 22nd July 2013 and the Movement is very slow.

What will happen if I will get the interview date after 15th April.

What documents will be required then. and also will they ask me in the IL to bring or submit new i864 (Affidavit of Support).

Yes. They will mention it in IL. In that case,u need to hv 2013 & 2014 tax transcripts,n all other docs of tax related stuff.

Well its all depends when your interview is. More tan likely it wil be time to do 2014 taxes so you may be thinking of that it all depends. Some CO's ask for it some don't It's not about what NVC wants its about what the embassy wants.

Since the Visa Bulletin is now at 8May2013 you could very well be current in April. So I would say have it in case you need it.
