Hello everyone,

New here but I have not seen an answer to my questions.

I have lived in the Philippines with my filipina wife since Oct, 6 2011.

We have 2 babies from our marriage. A girl 2 years old and a boy 9 months old.

I receive a pension from VA since 2010.

VA does not send w2's and I do not have to file taxes.

I have tax forms from 2008 and 2009 but that is all.

I have documentation about my VA pension being approved and the reason for the approval.

Is this documentation sufficient to show proof of income?

Our babies have US citizenship, but they were both born in the Philippines, we have they're CRBA's.

I have seen in threads that the Philippines wants to charge immigration fees for foreign born children.

This does not surprise me as the name Feelippines is appropriate.

My question is can we get US and Filipino passports for our children to avoid there fees?

If there are any other veterans here that used DCF I would appreciate any advice that you can give me.

If anyone has advice about the process for my wife's DCF or the documentation necessary for my children to board the flight back to the states with us, I would appreciate that also.

Do we all need to provide police clearance, brgy. clearance or any other type of clearance?

Do the babies need a medical clearance?

I have an ACR-I card 13A and proof of residents with signed mortgage papers.

But we do not have a lot of pictures.

If anyone has similar circumstances, can you tell me the most difficult part of the process?

The last thing is the I-864, The new form is different from the sample form posted here, can someone fill out a sample of the new I-864 so I can reference it to fill in my form?

Thank you all

Lots of questions here, I appreciate any help.

Sincerely,

DVDM

Are you getting a pension as a VA employee or are you getting compensation from your rating?

Two different things

If you are talking about from your rating all you have to do is go on ebenefits and print your AB8 letter which shows shows percentage and your monthly amount, then attach a notarized letter stating that this is your income or additional income.

It worked for me with no problems

My husband is also getting "pension" from VA. From what I remembered, US Embassy asked him to make a letter stating that his income comes from VA and he filed it together with the paper we requested from the VA stating that he gets this amount every month. We passed these forms together with the I-130 and other documents.

Regarding the passport, yes you can get Philippine passport for your kids. This is what we did for our son, we got him a Philippine passport. If you have a Philippine passport, you don't have to get an exit permit once you decided to go back to US. And also you don't need to pay the immigration for the exit permit.

I think we have the same case.

So my husband stayed in the philippines for 3 1/2 years. We have a son, filed CRBA and US passport, then last year he filed my i-130. I am the only one who underwent medical and the seminar/orientation. I got my Visa May 2014, we left August 2014. My husband and son also got their Philippine passport because if we show the immigration his US passport, we have to pay something because he's been in the Philippines since 2010. And for my son, he got his CRBA March 2011 and according to immigration, in order to obtain his exit permit, we have to pay an amount (i forgot but it's expensive), there is a certain amount that they will multiply starting from the time our son got his CRBA to the time he was leaving the Philippines.

So in the airport, we showed them both passports (US and Philippines).

For the clearance, I am the only one who provided NBI clearance.
