Sad but true, over here. :(

The UK media is shining a light on this hero, though.

What difference does it make what he believes. To try and help / relieve the suffering of another fellow human being is the right thing to do.

Thank you, goodnight and may your gods go with you",

Dave Allen.

It doesn't. What makes a difference is that this man is a hero because of his courage and his actions.

To try and help / relieve the suffering of another fellow human being is the right thing to do.

Which is being ignored by the U.S. media, because it doesn't fit their narratives.

You think it is moving away. Honestly the only thing stopping the US from having a state mandated religion (Christianity) is the first Amendment. Thank you founding fathers for understanding the right to believe or not in what you want without others imposing their beliefs on you through Government. Shrewd thinking. Shame it is being ignored on a regular basis.

I think the next generations are becoming less and less religious. What you are seeing is pandering to the baby boomers. Things are going to change a lot over the next 50 years. I don't believe America is becoming more religious.

Sean Hannity said Islam literally means submission, or "surrender". So, by extrapolation, if you don't surrender, he suggests, it other words convert, then Muslims will get mad and do bad stuff to you. And Sean had a whole panel of folks that agreed with him, so that must be true.

(I usually change the channel when Hannity and O'Reilly come on, because they are not long legged blondes in a short dresses, but I was in the middle of something and didn't find the remote in time.)

Not all Muslims agree with sharia law. And I could care less about what Sean Hannity says. Too much anger.

Not all Muslims agree with sharia law.

You know what is interesting about a statement like that? If you find one Muslim that will state that he undeniably does not agree at all with sharia "law" in any form, then your statement is true, but only if he would still be considered a Muslim by a majority of Muslims in the world after making that statement.

You have your work laid out for you.

The thing that irks me, the most, about 'Sharia Law',

is

all of these @#$ing fatwas,

which,

if old enough,

get morphed into 'Sharia Law'.

Sure, it's country-specific, but these folk immigrate to the USA already,

and apply their version of it inside the USA.

If it was universal, well, I wouldn't be so torqued about it.

But it's not universal. It's s@#2ing geographical, based on country of fatwa issuance and age of fatwa.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

It is easier without the burden of responsibility.

I guess. One has the ability to take pride in ones responsibility. It works about 45% of the time :content:
