Hello everyone, happy new year..

It's been 80 days now since I had my interview October last year. And my status is still in AP. And I saw that my STATUS UPDATED was changed into January 6, 2015 from October 28,2014. What was that mean?Is somebody working on my papers?

And my fiance send an email in these email address IVManilaReplies@state.gov and it response to him immediately that he need to wait for 7 working days for them to reply to his email.

Thanks and more power..

For some reason, what they are doing in AP is considered a top secret. The fact that there is some activity is a good sign though.

Common problems that trigger long AP are she was a member of the communist party of some nation, she or a relative is on the terrorist watch list, or her name is similar to someone on the terrorist watch list. Another concern that is a common reason is when you, the petitioner, work in national defense. Does any of this apply to you or her?

The 7 working days thing is a form email you get every time you email them. But they do usually answer as promised.

My bf son was in jail for some reason and his son is a jr. They have same name to my bf. But they would know or identify the birthday, year and even the age.

We were on the same boat until yesterday. We were also put under AP for lack of cenomar during my husband's interview last dec. 5. We were calling the USEM religiously to ask for update until yesterday they finally said that we are on final processing and when we checked the ceac website our status changed from AP to ISSUED. I don't know if it was just coincidence but immediately after we called and talked to USEM our status have been changed all of sudden. We check ceac website a few times a day. We checked for any changes in ceac right before we called yesterday and the status said AP. I wonder if we haven't called will the website changed its status? The receptionist told us that everytime we call and talk to someone the status date changes. Anyway, here's the number where u can ask for updates 02 3012000. They were very nice to us considering we were callung them almost everyday for updates. Hope u will get ur approval soon.

PS

I also sent them an email but didn't get an answer yet. It would have been the 7th business day today but now we won't really be needing it as our good news came 1 day earlier. Good luck!

Hi Jplene,

Congratulations to both of you. So did you called them many times or just once?. Last time when i called the USEM, the one answer me first was automated operator then second was the agent, and they dont know also when the result of my papers, he said only the Consul can tell when they would decide if its issued or denied. And it really grrr..And I checked Ceac almost everyday. Only the status updated changed(the date).

Anyway thank you for the number, its a big help for us now. Yeah hopefully i will get approved soon.:-)

Yup, jaessa... we called them almost everyday. The last two weeks of waiting we kind of lessen it to every other day coz we got tired of hearing them saying that we just have to wait. They won't even give a time frame as to how far r we from getting reviewed by the consular officer. They said they have a large volume of pending applications also due to the holidays. Just call them and ask for updates regularly. They were actually nice and didn't get annoyed with us. Like us u may one day be surprised with a good news after talking to them because I swear that ceac status didn't change status until we talked to someone yesterday or maybe it was just coincidence. Good luck!

ps

everytime u call them it will change the date in ceac status but doesn't necessarily mean they did something to ur file. At first we really got excited with that date change until they told us that the date changes with every call.
