Hey, just a quick question.

My 90 day window to apply for I751 removal is June 11, 2015. (My 2 yr green card expires 9/9/15)

I plan to have my application ready to send out on June 11. Then I am planning a trip to Canada for a month or so to visit friends and family.

How soon after I file the I751 will I have to be back in the US for a biometrics appt.?

I would hate to miss it, but hoping they wouldn't book it that quick.

I will be having a friend check our mail daily for letters from immigration... but, do you think I will have at least a month to spend in Canada?

Or should I just wait and file it upon return? Should be back in the USA mid - July.

Do Not want to miss any windows - we all know how long this process takes as it is. I like to stay on top of things.. :rolleyes:

They usually send out bio notice within 2 weeks after they received the apllication. Bio appt is usually about 30 days after they send the notice. You never know with immigration though. I got my notice after a month and did bio close to 60days after they received my application.

AOS from F-1(Married to USC
06.08.12 - AOS mailed
09.18.12 - Interview.....Approved!!

ROC- Divorce Waiver
05/09/14- I-751 packet mailed to CSC
05/12/14- NOA1 Receipt date
07/01/14- Biometrics Appt

08/11/14- RFE received

09/08/14- RFE response received by USCIS

09/22/14- 10yrs GC Approved!!

Yeah that's what I'm afraid of. Them making me a bio appt too quickly!

Adjustment of status went really quickly for us in Texas. We applied for AOS in June/13, did the bio appt. and had an interview all by early Sept /13. The local offices here have a pretty quick turnaround.
