Honestly I don't see the point of having more than one ID here. Or anywhere for that matter. I guess I'm not smart enough to pull it off anyways. :P

Allah tries his chosen people through many hardships, but those who persevere through adversity, surrendering themselves before the will of Allah, shall be blessed with a superb reward.

-The Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as reported by Anas bin Malik

A time will come when the sky is torn apart; when the stars scatter, and the ocean drains away; and when the graves are tossed about, and laid open. At that time every man will be told what he has done, and what he has failed to do; and every woman will be told what she has done, and what she has failed to do.

-Qur'an, Al-Infitar, Surah 82:1-5

Actually, you're plenty smart. It's the people who DO this that aren't smart enough to pull it off

I do hope that this is the case, as opposed to something involving the aforementioned sharmoota or a new one. ;)

That definitely scared me off sharing Moh's pic on forum. Don't care to hop down that bunny trail again!

You're right.

The only reason I can think of for someone creating a fake ID, especially one going through a certain country, would be to help towards their credibiity when they solicit other members for information.

You know, he's been here a month now and I'm so full of "wow, he's yummy" "your husband is gorgeous" "he should be a model" "if you don't want him, can I have him?" I could puke. He's my HUSBAND people! I guess I should take it as a compliment but its making me uncomfortable. I guess I have some self-esteem issues to deal with. Oh well. He'll make good tips. Ha ha. His looks never had a thing to do with why I love him so this has all been kind of weird. I had fallen in love with him before I ever even saw what he looked like.

Now you've got my curiosity running wild......can we see a pic of him???

You are kidding right????!!

I didn't mean it like that.....I was truely just curious to know what he looks like.......I can't help that i'm a nosey journalist.

I think everyone is a little shy about posting pictures of themselves with their SO. We had a sharmoota who shall remain nameless who exploited a few our ME/NA ladies on her blog. Jean and her husband make a very nice looking couple :)

Oh, I didn't know about that...I'm sorry....I guess I am a little naive when it comes to this stuff..... Some people just suk.

Yes they sure do. I never think much about sharing info. I want everyone on the forum to be my friend, but then I realize I don't know who I'm really dealing with. I've noticed some people don't even share their SO's first name!!

here's a question....do you have to already have good stomach muscles to do a belly dancing class? Also, what is a good dvd to start with?

no, but bd classes will strengthen your abdominal/core muscles - but it's really more than *belly* dance - it involves almost every muscle of your body. Most of the dvds I would recommend are higher end, b/c frankly alot of the readily available, mass marketed ones are fluff and contain little actual content.... and nothing replaces a real live teacher to correct you if you're doing something wrong - that being said, I highly recommend Delilah's Absolute Beginning Bellydance (www.visionarydance.com) and Mesmera's "Dance of the Serpent" (www.mesmera.com). I've taken classes w/ both of these women - actually went on safari w/ Mesmera in Kenya - and own both of these videos/dvds. Please stay away from Neena & Veena, Suhaila, & Rania, and don't go near anything by Neon - what a joke!

LOL, Noura, You probably have many ppl that show up for class saying "I got Neena & Veena videos and use them all the time" . . . or what about the ones that say "I want to dance like Shakira" . . . hehe, what she does could injure someone if they hadn't taken a class to know better, although it does look good! FYI, I havent done any Delilah or Mesmera

. . . I think I went a different direction lo those many years ago :innocent: . But I will second the part about strengthening the core . . . it certainly has helped me relieve some of lower back pain by working on that core.

Have fun at your Mardi Gras ball . . . I wish I was going :crying: .
