One thing I'll say for Moh's credit. He's not into flirting AT ALL. He detests it. It's almost a sickness with him. I can see his ego is stroked, sure, but I know how he thinks. Any female that reduces herself to that type of behavior isn't worth his attention. Now if you sit and talk with him intelligently, human to human, he'll talk your ear off. Batt your eyes at him and he'll get up and leave. He's even done it to me. LOL

(Can you tell that rubbish at the mall really unnerved me???? I've got a dedicated and wonderful husband and should go kick myself for letting it get to me. Someone like to volunteer???)

We went out for breakfast, then I dropped Moh off at work. Now I'm being lazy waiting on a load of laundry to finish. I don't feel like doing much today.

We went to the mall last night. Its becoming a Friday night ritual. Cosmo Modelling Agency had a booth set up looking to recruit fresh meat. There were 2 women sitting there. One was a bubble boobed, bubble butt very pretty young black woman in skin tight clothes and the other was a shrivelled up, overly made-up woman in her 60s with the big poofy collagen lips and way too much jewelry. They practically came over the table at Mohammed. I was heading to the bathroom so I just kept going and I heard him say "no thanks." Evidentally the prune literally followed him and asked him if he would like to be a model. When I came out the bathroom he asked if I wanted to have some fun with them. I told him no I didn't. They represent just about every ideal in this world I hate but he wanted to and I followed reluctantly. When he walked up to the table the young black woman said, "hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii" with the drippiest most sexually aggressive tone I've ever heard. It was so gross I physically cringed and Mohammed took 3 steps backward. (He HATES that.) The other woman said to him "You are simply GORGEOUS." I was walking backwards at this point and Mohammed had the most shocked look on his face. The woman told him they were looking for new people and she really would like him to come and meet with her while she is in town and blah, blah, blah. Mohammed kept looking over at me, and I was still inching away from them, when the prune said "who is this woman?" I won't lie. My stomach clenched up. I was desperately hoping I had become invisible. Mohammed puffed up like a banty rooster and said proudly "she is my wife!" I just looked her in the eye coldly. She said, "oh well its nice to meet you" and held out a hand to me like she was handing me a dead fish. I kind of shook it as if it was. She said to Mohammed again "I would really like to talk to you about working for us," then looked at ME and said, "is that alright?" (#######???) I said, "why do you seek my permission? He's a grown man." They both looked uncomfortable and the skin around Mohammed's eyes had gone very dark which was a good indication he was losing his temper too. I started backing up again and she shoved an application at Mohammed and asked him to give her his contact information. He said he would take it with him and bring it back later. As we were walking away he said, "my GOD." All I could say was "I told you so." He crumpled up the paper and threw it away. We saw the prune again later walking through the mall and she was still eyeing him like a starving woman with dollar signs in her eyes. I literally had a bad dream about that woman in my sleep. Ha ha.

There... that is my slice of life epic for the day. *bows*

The funniest story with my husband since he's come was one night when he was working. (He actually told me this story - I didn't witness it). He was working at night, and the restaurant is in an area with a lot of bars (college town). So he was there and these girls came in to order. He was getting their order ready when all of a sudden the girl was behind the counter right behind him. He turned around and was really surprised, she was looking him up and down and saw his wedding ring and said "OH sh*t you're married!!" Then she left. LOL My grandma thinks he's a hottie lol but other than that I must keep him on a tight leash (maybe the kids scare them off!)

My ex was a very good looking Italian and he owns a custom kitchen cabinet business. I can't tell you how many times he would go to someone's house and the woman (a wife mind you..) would open the door in a very sexy neglige (sp?).

The fact that he would tell me all about it was something too. I would never tell my husband if a guy opened his door with nothing but a tool belt on, ya know?

You know, he's been here a month now and I'm so full of "wow, he's yummy" "your husband is gorgeous" "he should be a model" "if you don't want him, can I have him?" I could puke. He's my HUSBAND people! I guess I should take it as a compliment but its making me uncomfortable. I guess I have some self-esteem issues to deal with. Oh well. He'll make good tips. Ha ha. His looks never had a thing to do with why I love him so this has all been kind of weird. I had fallen in love with him before I ever even saw what he looked like.

Now you've got my curiosity running wild......can we see a pic of him???

Allah tries his chosen people through many hardships, but those who persevere through adversity, surrendering themselves before the will of Allah, shall be blessed with a superb reward.

-The Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as reported by Anas bin Malik

A time will come when the sky is torn apart; when the stars scatter, and the ocean drains away; and when the graves are tossed about, and laid open. At that time every man will be told what he has done, and what he has failed to do; and every woman will be told what she has done, and what she has failed to do.

no, but bd classes will strengthen your abdominal/core muscles - but it's really more than *belly* dance - it involves almost every muscle of your body. Most of the dvds I would recommend are higher end, b/c frankly alot of the readily available, mass marketed ones are fluff and contain little actual content.... and nothing replaces a real live teacher to correct you if you're doing something wrong - that being said, I highly recommend Delilah's Absolute Beginning Bellydance (www.visionarydance.com) and Mesmera's "Dance of the Serpent" (www.mesmera.com). I've taken classes w/ both of these women - actually went on safari w/ Mesmera in Kenya - and own both of these videos/dvds. Please stay away from Neena & Veena, Suhaila, & Rania, and don't go near anything by Neon - what a joke!

I think everyone is a little shy about posting pictures of themselves with their SO. We had a sharmoota who shall remain nameless who exploited a few our ME/NA ladies on her blog. Jean and her husband make a very nice looking couple :)
