I love my job, I love my job. (trying to convince myself today!) I have to measure 3 houses today. Normally I would be happy about this. It is 8 degrees with a wind chill of -11. My problem is, these are empty new construction houses and NO HEAT! This for sure will be the fastest measures in history! It would usually take me 15 minutes in each one, today it will be like 5 min. This builder always makes the same house, so I pre-drew them and now just have to fill in the blanks. I won't even measure the closests, yea looks like 2'3" x 6' to me...........

Hope you all have a great Saturday.

Just woke up. Finally got a pretty good night's sleep except that we got a call from another town's police dept at 3am. I didn't answer the phone since I was half dreaming it was ringing but this morning I called them to see what the heck they were calling me for and they have no record of the call. Kinda freaky.

Anyhoo I have so much housework to do today so I'm drinking a gallon of coffee to try to get motivated. :) It's really cold here today but I don't know what the temp is. At around 8am I heard "scrape scrape scrape" out my window so it must have been my neighbor scraping her car off. Gonna try to do my taxes since I finally got my w2 in the mail. Just don't know if my interest statement is in the pile of paperwork that's waiting for me.

Have a good one!

It's flippin cold outside and i have to go out in it :crying: Khallid is going to a job fair at the school district here. Hopefully he will be able to find some sort of teaching job/ if not get pointing in the right direction so we know how to figure out what is equivalent here to his bachelor's degree in Egypt. Then since we're out I feel the need to do some shopping for myself and will look at some ellipticals. :) Hope everyone has a great day!

We went out for breakfast, then I dropped Moh off at work. Now I'm being lazy waiting on a load of laundry to finish. I don't feel like doing much today.

We went to the mall last night. Its becoming a Friday night ritual. Cosmo Modelling Agency had a booth set up looking to recruit fresh meat. There were 2 women sitting there. One was a bubble boobed, bubble butt very pretty young black woman in skin tight clothes and the other was a shrivelled up, overly made-up woman in her 60s with the big poofy collagen lips and way too much jewelry. They practically came over the table at Mohammed. I was heading to the bathroom so I just kept going and I heard him say "no thanks." Evidentally the prune literally followed him and asked him if he would like to be a model. When I came out the bathroom he asked if I wanted to have some fun with them. I told him no I didn't. They represent just about every ideal in this world I hate but he wanted to and I followed reluctantly. When he walked up to the table the young black woman said, "hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii" with the drippiest most sexually aggressive tone I've ever heard. It was so gross I physically cringed and Mohammed took 3 steps backward. (He HATES that.) The other woman said to him "You are simply GORGEOUS." I was walking backwards at this point and Mohammed had the most shocked look on his face. The woman told him they were looking for new people and she really would like him to come and meet with her while she is in town and blah, blah, blah. Mohammed kept looking over at me, and I was still inching away from them, when the prune said "who is this woman?" I won't lie. My stomach clenched up. I was desperately hoping I had become invisible. Mohammed puffed up like a banty rooster and said proudly "she is my wife!" I just looked her in the eye coldly. She said, "oh well its nice to meet you" and held out a hand to me like she was handing me a dead fish. I kind of shook it as if it was. She said to Mohammed again "I would really like to talk to you about working for us," then looked at ME and said, "is that alright?" (#######???) I said, "why do you seek my permission? He's a grown man." They both looked uncomfortable and the skin around Mohammed's eyes had gone very dark which was a good indication he was losing his temper too. I started backing up again and she shoved an application at Mohammed and asked him to give her his contact information. He said he would take it with him and bring it back later. As we were walking away he said, "my GOD." All I could say was "I told you so." He crumpled up the paper and threw it away. We saw the prune again later walking through the mall and she was still eyeing him like a starving woman with dollar signs in her eyes. I literally had a bad dream about that woman in my sleep. Ha ha.

There... that is my slice of life epic for the day. *bows*

You know, he's been here a month now and I'm so full of "wow, he's yummy" "your husband is gorgeous" "he should be a model" "if you don't want him, can I have him?" I could puke. He's my HUSBAND people! I guess I should take it as a compliment but its making me uncomfortable. I guess I have some self-esteem issues to deal with. Oh well. He'll make good tips. Ha ha. His looks never had a thing to do with why I love him so this has all been kind of weird. I had fallen in love with him before I ever even saw what he looked like.

I met a few friends to plan dates for the bridal shower and work out a few details on the wedding. I'm thinking we may change the colors a little because we had winter colors before. Will have to see what is available in the flower dept for Spring. And if Casa could figure out how to dial a phone, I can even choose a date. :hehe: I think everything else is taken care of.

C2: I was here at 4am PST but I wanted to let you start the daily thread for a change! :P Yes I did go back to sleep.

Jackie: I think I hear the sound of your feet all the way over here, you're going to so fast.

Doodle: I'll be here cleaning right beside you. Pass the cream please.

T4E: Wow what a story. I dont' think I'll forget the prune now either. Thanks.

Amera: Good luck with the job fair.

PW: Good luck with the dress shopping. One thing I did NOT have to do, thank the Lord.

and fianlly Mk.... :lol::lol:

Have a great day girls.

My former h worked at a deli counter. He had a definite wedding band on. One day a woman ordered what she wanted and then after handing her what she asked for he said would you like anything else? She said, yes YOU... Kinda wish she'd have taken him now. Anyways...Get used to it. American women have no shame. Just be glad he belongs to you and likes belonging to you. That is how I got over it. Lucky girl you...got yourself a model!!

This kinda of thing happens a lot . . . I was once involved with an Iranian guy who was very good looking with the thickest black hair, beautiful eyes . . sexy and wore the nicest suits, HOT, hehe!!! I practically would be trampled by other women trying to get to him . . . . I was beginning to think he needed a BURQA, lol!!! It was interesting while it lasted, but he had other issues . . . like all those other women, hehe!! So goodbye to him . . .

When I first met the hubster, he had just shaved his head . . . so being attracted to him for his good looks wasn't an issue . . it was his kindness, his smile and intelligence. Now when ppl see his pic (with what little hair he does have, hehe), they do say "OH, he is cute!" . . . sheeeeesh!
