People who like to cook love to feel like they walked into their own gigantic cooking paradise I suppose. Unfortunately my apartment has a big bathroom, big living room, big bedroom, big dining area, huge storage spaces, etc. etc. plus a tiny tiny kitchen. :(

Cooking paradise, lol. Fine, as long as I don't get stuck with with cleaning all 50 miles of granite freakin' countertop.

And that sounds lke a nice place, Alex. I have tiny bathrooms which I think is much worse than a tiny kitchen. Even my 'master' bathroom is tiny.

I agree. I went to visit a couple I know in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and they had a nice-sized apartment but the bathroom was just a toilet and a mini-tub, and the toilet seat overlapped into the tub. They had to use the kitchen sink to wash their hands! I don't think I could ever live like that.

Mines not that small but still smaller than I'd like. The bathroom you describe though is very common in NYC boroughs. People who aren't super-wealthy live in shoeboxes out there. I'm in the burbs so I get to have a sink. LOL.

I can't explain, I guess if all you do is open cans and boxes and microwave them it isn't necessary to have a big kitchen, but I like to cook, spend a lot of time unpeeling (I guess that's the word) garlic and chopping fresh vegetables so it would be nice so sometimes for example, a saturday night (before Cops) I am making dinner and my husband sits there with me to keep me company, we have a drink and talk. And then when we have our 5 kids, we can have everybody in the kitchen helping :P

Hmmmm....Country Estate yes...but not one the size of a small country!

What`s your ideal DREAM house?

A Country Estate.

You aren't much of a people person, and for this reason a country estate is more than ideal for you. The further from the city the better as far as your concerned. You enjoy the beauties of nature and the quietness of the country side. You belong in a country estate.

A Penthouse.

The city is the place for you. But not just anywhere in the city. Your ideal house is the highest floor on the highest building. Million dollar views from every window and the city night life at your door step. You like the fast paced world. A world which is always moving fast and never stagnant. You belong in a Penthouse.

What`s your ideal DREAM house?

My Results:

quiz1516outcome1.jpg

A Waterfront House.

Your ideal house would be a Waterfront. Somewhere you can spend your days relaxing and admiring nature and the beauty of the world from your own home. The fast pace world of the city and suburbs would be left behind, leaving you to lap it up in your multi million dollar water front home.

I've wanted an ocean front home for years so it's no surprise to me. :D

A time will come when the sky is torn apart; when the stars scatter, and the ocean drains away; and when the graves are tossed about, and laid open. With the average family size on the way down in this country, why are average new home sizes increasing so much?

Well, if you live in my area, it's a status symbol. People seem to think that buying the million $ + homes (with too many rooms) somehow makes them better or more important. Go figure. :P

I agree that having a large kitchen is a must.

How can I make all that yummy food for my fiance/husband if I have a teensy kitchen? :D

There's also a quieter trend toward smaller homes. Especially amongst baby boomers and greenies.

People are starting to find out how hard it is to maintain a behemoth. Plus how expensive.
