I had my interview in Frankfurt yesterday and my visa got approved! I was told I would have it in the mail within a week. We just got my plane tickets and I am flying out on March 2!

I added my review because I wanted to share my positive experience at this consulate. If anyone is nervous or worried, please read my review!

Timeline:

*Met in Tanzfleck, Germany October 24, 2003 - Continued dating until he got out of the ARMY in Nov. 2005. Continued LD relationship.

*Came to visit me in Germany for New Years 2006

*Filed for K1 Visa on 4/4/06

*NOA1 - 7/6/06

*I-129F NOA2 Approved - 9/14/06

*Came to see me Thanksgiving week in Nov. 2006

*K1 Interview - 2/2/07

*K1 Visa received - 2/11/07

*Date of US Entry (POE Chicago)- 3/5/07

*Wedding/Marriage - 3/17/07

AOS (My case was expedited due to husband going to Iraq):

*Filed for AOS - 4/20/07

*Found out in the beginning of June that husband is going to Iraq

*NOA for I-485 - 6/11/07

*Made Infopass appointment to get case expedited due to deployment (Infopass appt 6/12/07)

*Biometrics - 7/7/07

*Interview date - 7/11/07

*I-485 Aprroval date- 7/11/07

*Green Card Received- 7/19/07

Removal of Conditions:

*Filed petition to remove conditions on 6/9/09

*NOA- 6/15/09

*Biometrics Appt. in Birmingham - 8/6/09

*Lifting of Conditions Approval Date - 10/22/09

*Waiting for Green Card!

Had our daughter on 4/4/08 and have another baby due 11/19/09!!!

12/04/09 Rcvd 10 yr Green Card in mail

CONGRATULATIONS!!! How long did it take from the time you applyed from the time you applied for your visa in Frankfurt to the time you had your interview? What type of questions did they ask?

2004-05-30: Met online on ICQ

2004-07-21: Fell in love

2005-06-02: Met in Hong Kong

2006-06-07: Met in Belgium

2006-06-15: Engaged in Italy

2006-10-10: I-129F Sent to NSC

2006-10-23: I-129F NOA1 from CSC

2006-10-26: Check cashed

2006-12-20: Met in Belgium again

2007-01-19: Touched finally!! Send us a NOA2 please!!

2007-01-19: WE GOT NOA2!!!! HOLY COW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2007-01-20: Touched again

2007-01-25: Received NOA2 in mail

2007-02-01: File forwarded to Consulate from NVC

2007-02-08: Consulate received our file and right away mailed Packet 3!

2007-02-10: Packet 3 received!

2007-02-23: Gone for medical check and police report

2007-03-07: Mailed in all the forms needed to the consulate

2007-03-13: Consulate mailed out Packet 4!

2007-03-16: Packet 4 received!

2007-04-16: Interview Day!

2007-08-11: Us Wedding

Looking forward to the day two beans get together and live happily ever after!

I am so happy and excited! Now if only I can find a cheap place to mail some of my boces from. Thank you for the congrats! :-)

Congratulations!! (F) Thank you for the review I have my interview in 1 1/2 weeks and I'm already nervous.

Don't be! I was really nervous too but it's really not bad. Just make sure you have all of your papers together. During my interview, the stuff they really paid the most attention to was the affidavit of support with supporting documents. My interview really wasn't an interview at all because they did not ask me anything! If you get there early, you will be out of there really fast! Good luck to you - let me know how it goes.

OK. I have a hard time remembering the dates because our lawyer and my fiancee basically did everything. I didn't keep up with dates exactly because all the waiting around discouraged me. The petition got sent off in May some time. In July my fiancee received the petition approval. OK, then ... in December I received my appointment date for Feb. 2

As for the questions asked during the interview - believe it or not, they didn't ask me one single thing! I had all my relationship prrof in my hand and he did not wanna see any of it. I'm not sure why they do this with some people.

I also had a few things in my favor and not sure if it counted or not, but my daughter is an American citizen - so is my brother and my stepdad who I still have a relationship with.
