I recieved Packet 3.... and its totally confusing!!!!

I am getting all stressed lout over the forms I have to fill in... am i just being stupid and really its quite straight forward?

Do I have to fill in all tbhe forms, one of them seems its only for males is this correct?

Help please!!

The instuctions are a bit confusing but no it's not just for males. You need to tell us the number on the form that is confusing you so we can help. Is it the DS-156?

I hadnt notied the example forms... thanks for pointing them out... HUGE help!!!!

One question... in the letter from the embassy they do not send any personal documents with my forms, however form DS-156 says I have to send certain personal documents and without it I can not be issued with a visa. Do I just ignore this and not send anything in?

Yes one of the forms is for men only. I believe its the 156K.

Only return the forms they sent you.

Personal documents, such as birth cert, police report, I134, etc. will be hand carried to the consulate on day of interview.

If i remember correctly the form DS157 is for males only...you need to send the forms back .but take the personal documents with you to the interview

I'm a male, haha, and I got the DS-156, DS-156K, DS-157 and DS-230. Hope that helps.

Also I sent my packet 3 forms off to London just before Christmas and I'm still waiting to hear from them.

Anyone else still waiting to hear from the London US Embassy??

Oh, forgot to add that I filled in my forms on my computer printed them and posted them. I Downloaded the example forms from VJ and used them. It was really helpful. I also attached a few additional pages to the forms where the question asked about schools I'd went to and qualifications and Employment. I just listed all my jobs and all my schools and qualifications since high school. So thats GCSE's, A-Levels and my degree.

One last thing! Don't forget to get photocopies of your forms and send the checklist that came with your forms. This checklist is sent to say that you have everything (like police certificates, divorce certificates etc) and you are ready for your interview. Otherwise they won't schedule you one. Plus call and arrange your medical asap too. Aparently they can be done on the same day (so I've heard from some people on VJ).
