I-864 and tax transcripts (Joint Sponsor)

Hi

My joint sponsor is having trouble obtaining the tax transcripts. They need 2012 and 2013 (no filing in 2011).

The IRS kept them on hold for over an hour (ridiculous).

Are we able to request a US tax agent to download these for a fee?

Thanks, she did try that first as it seems the easiest thing to do, but she doesn't have the correct address or something and it's throwing it off so it won't download. The website said to call the IRS to verify her details, and they leave her on hold for hours. Can we just contact an accountant/tax agent and pay them to download it?

Where did she file? if she go through a company like H&R or some other, they keep electronic copies.

Lodged through Turbo tax. I logged in, but you can only download your refund summary, not the tax return or transcript unless you pay for the premium version.

I'm going to call an accountant in her area tonight (USA morning time) and ask if she can sign a form and they get the transcripts. I'm hoping it will work that way.

paying for the premium version of turbo tax is probably cheaper then using a tax accountant .and she might be able to use the version when she files her tax return this year

Thanks, I'll log back into turbotax tonight and see what it says. I think it also only shows 2012 tax return and not 2013 (although it's definitely been lodged?). I'll see if I can find them and maybe pay for the premium version if easier and quicker.

Seems like headache after headache and nothing is going right to get this part finished :-(

Otherwise it's back to the IRS/accountant.
