Hi all,

My school started in fall 2014 and completed the fall semester on H4 visa. I have come down to India and got my F1 visa approved and my I-20 mentions that I am expected to report to complete my studies no later than 6th january 2015 but due to my fathers medical reasons I need to extend my stay till 22nd of January. I have already completed my first semester.I wanted to know if there is any problem at the port of entry if I am traveling two weeks late as my school is starting from 12january 2015.please guide me for the same.

Thanks in advance.

Enroll 2nd start classes now and show class schedule to officer. You can't get any classes if you come too late, no enrollment available, it is most likely you will be denied entry.

I have already enrolled for spring classes and paid my first installment of fees as well. I have already finished the courses for fall 2014 as well. But that time I was on a Dependant that is H4 visa. I am worried that going late beyond the date of entry on the I20 shouldnt create any problems at the port of entry.
