I wonder about that. We already sent original documents to the NVC before the NVC policy was updated that they accept photocopies. Will the original documents still be required for the interview?

We have second original marriage certificate with us, but first original marriage certificate, original birth certificate (in different language) associated with original translated document, original divorce decree and original police clearance certificate are with NVC. Photocopies will be accepted for the interview? Checklist asked for photocopies of marriage certificate (I wonder why they needed a photocopy when our original marriage certificate is with NVC) and AOS (very minor error) so we sent one photocopy of our second original marriage certificate and my corrected AOS form. I am worried if originals with NVC are lost. I hope they still have our original documents. Also, I read the travel state gov website's instructions that New Delhi's US embassy security personnels won't let anyone enter without showing a police clearance certificate. It doesn't say photocopy or original of police clearance certificate. Is Photocopy of police clearance certificate okay since original police clearance certificate is already with NVC?

All the original will be with NVC, there is no need to presenting another original. Just bring photocopies to interview. I just called NVC yesterday and found out that whatever we submitted will be with Embassy at the time of interview. Additionally if you want to bring something else just bring it to NVC to show as a proof of your relationship.
