Hi! I have this situation for filling up the I-134 form (Affidavit of Support) for K1: Fiance has earnings of $46,450.00 last 2013 per 1040 return. For 2014, he transferred to a new company and worked only for 5months (Aug-Dec) but already earned $27,477.32, way up high for our required income of $19,662.00 per poverty guidelines (2household). We are about to show this affidavit this Jan29th interview at the consular embassy. On the item#7 page 2 of I-134 form, we filled up his current employer obcourse, but we are confused what amount to fill up on the total annual income, since question#7 pertains to his current employment. If we filled up the 2013 total annual income (this pertains to his previous employer with corresponding 1040 form to confirm the earnings) OR , if we fill up the 2014 (current income w/ current employment) this is only for 5mos income of $27,477.32. (with corresponding pay stubs, to support, since 2014 tax forms is not yet due). Which we will use? I hope somebody can enlighten us. Thanks in advance:)

You will put his current annual salary on the I-134 form. This is the amount he would receive had he worked an entire year. You do not put just what he earned in those 5 months, you will put what he earns in a year. If he is on salary, you will put the annual salary. If he is paid hourly, then the annual salary = hourly rate X hours worked per week X 52. Get an employer letter to also verify the annual salary, and the few pay checks will help. More than likely, since your tax return already shows your fiancé above the poverty guidelines, USEM won't even ask to see an employer letter or paystubs.
