Hi everyone,

I just wanted to see if anyone has suggestions on how to get my packet 3? NVC mailed my case to Haiti Nov. 24th so it has been 6 weeks since they mailed it.

I have called ustraveldoc phone number and have had 3 cases opened and closed. I recieved this message twice:

Dear Sir/Madam:
Thank you for your inquiry.
Our records indicate that we have received your file. The notification letter and the instruction packet will soon be sent to both addresses in file. Meanwhile, please be informed that the instructions are now available on our public website: http://haiti.usembassy.gov/fiance_visas.html. Therefore, you can read them and follow the steps. Once you have gathered the required documents, you may schedule your appointment date. Please note that you must have ALL the documents at the time of your interview.
We hope this information is helpful to you.
Sincerely,
US Visa Service Desk

I have also tried emailing support-Haiti@ustraveldocs.com and papcons@state.gov requesting that the packet is emailed to me, but haven't recieved any information back (11 days ago..I realize it was the holidays so there has only been 5 business days).

My fiance and I have all our documents ready but he cannot get a medical exam until we have a copy of the letter from packet 3.

Any thoughts? Do I just keep waiting and calling?

Thanks,

Laura

Thanks! Yes, I have been following the website. The problem is we need packet 3/letter to get a medical exam. My fiance went to the doctor and they told him he has to have the paper in order for them to do the exam.

Oh! I'm so sorry!!! That really sucks! In August it took 4 weeks for me to get my letter and my fiance had to wait another week or so after that. I would expect that you'll get it soon. Both of us received a copy of it in the mail. I also had some immigration troubles with USTravelDocs and their tier 2 support is epically slow responding. And the papcons@state.gov is notoriously slow as well. I wouldn't expect to hear from either of them for at least two weeks (10 business days) if you're lucky. My responses from papcons took 15 business days a piece but they do email out the Packet 3 letter. So hang in there... You've done everything right and the information should be headed your way soon.

Thanks! I just wanted to make sure that I did everything I could!

I am happy to say...I am almost positive I FINALLY recieved the packet 3! I got a reply to my email that I sent to papcons@state.gov. Their reply was faster than UStraveldocs.

Just curious, when you finished gathering all the information for the package 3. Will you have to submit to the embassy before the interview, or bring all the information with to the interview.

You do not send any of your things that you are collecting for packet 3. Bring them with to the interview. You used to send it to the embassy but it changed with the new online system.

The embassy even called the day we scheduled the interview to tell my fiance NOT to send anything to the embassy.
