We filed in November via the TSC and received our NOA2 on December 22. Don't know why the wait has been so long for you, but stay positive! Good luck with your petition.

LOL! Your fiancee is from the Philippines. Have you not noticed that cases from the Philippines get expedited?? The OP is not from the Philippines, that's why it has been so long for them. Your case is abnormal, not normal.

While I appreciate that you are trying to help, not having had to endure a 5 or 6 month wait and telling people to stay positive or be patient is not helpful. It's lovely that you haven't lived through the hell of lengthy separation from the one you love.

Yes, and it's also adding to the backlog. Every time someone is pushed ahead in the line, everyone else goes a step back. Also, and very annoyingly, K1 petitions are not supposed to be expedited. Last time I checked the official website regarding Philippine expedites, K1 was not listed - it was for married couples and those bringing family members over.

not to mention that many Phillipine beneficiaries are not suffering at all from the typhoon. Offering a blanket expedite to all Phillipine filers is ridiculous.

That's a great point. I read that it was just immediate relatives that were supposed to be expedited. Which would make sense. I don't think K1's should be expedited.

That said, it's not really the fault of those applying that they are being expedited so of course can't hold it against the petitioners/beneficiaries. I've been waiting and will continue to wait. It's hard, but I didn't think the process was going to be easy. So I'll be patient. I haven't made a single call or inquiry with USCIS. I do check the website regularly though (and lately this website to see what else is happening).

I was happy to see some July filers approved before new years. But nothing since then? It's a bit disheartening. Especially considering those approval were late July filers.

at least we are closer to the end compared to August or September of last year. what a terrible system. I see that no one has touched your case since assigning an ARN. Your file is collecting dust, as is the rest of ours. what a shame nothing can be done to speed up the system.

Actually, the last time someone touched our file was November 23rd, per the Tier 2 agent I spoke with last week. We still haven't been assigned to an adjudicator as of that call.

So, I called today and filed an expedite request citing two criteria.

The first was financial loss/hardship for having to maintain two homes, travel expenses, etc.

The second was USCIS error. We're past the five month normal processing time, so they've clearly screwed up.

I'll let you know how that goes.

My K1 was accepted on june 10, 2014....still not a word on it....almost 7 months.

At this point you can REALLY start trying to wedge yourself in there. Even with the holidays, they DO sometimes lose files. I get that this is a slower time right now, but if it gets to be 7 months you are way over the time. Many people I saw that were at 6 months (specifically June filers, I think!) called and called until something was done for their case. Of course USCIS won't necessarily jump to approve you if you do, but doing an info pass or calling people- even congressmen in some cases- can actually do SOMETHING in some cases.

And yes, they are finishing up June right now. Some July filers have received approval, but not many. Just remember, everyone, that VJ doesn't represent all filers. And not everyone updates their timeline right away. So don't get too disheartened. Just because Igor's list hasn't changed since you last refreshed doesn't mean there haven't been any approvals.

The last few months USCIS seems to have been honoring - FOR THE MOST PART - around the 6 month mark, which is why I said if you pass that, you should really be getting an Info pass appointment and calling a lot. So a good majority of people at this point have gotten their NOA2 around the 6 month point. Of course the holidays slowed them down, so the rest of their cases that were about to hit that mark got delayed even further. But hopefully it'll start picking up, as some people who track their progress have predicted.

I know the grief, that the TSC people is dealing with. Me and my wife went through VSC in 2012-2013, and the Philippines certainly did not go to the front of the line. From NOA 1 til P.O.E. Atlanta, was 10 months and 4 days.

We feel and know your pain, TSC, is what is going on in USCIS, right, who knows anything about them. They do as they want, when they want. It is their game, we just play by their rules.

I wish some of the TSC people that are so far being, would get transferred to CSC, maybe some relief there.

We really wish some "God's speed" to the TSC people. Me and my wife, know your pain.

I don't understand why it's not possible for TSC to through a collection of cases at CSC to try and get rid some of the back log, at the very least it would then be fair for everyone. I've stopped subscribing to the K1 posts for my month as getting disheartened from people being expedited or going through CSC.

They do that once in a while. If I am not mistaken loads of April and May files were transfered to CSC due to backlog. I wish it was much faster and easier for everyone.
