Happy New Year Everyone!

I have a question to ask anybody who may have any info.

I will have to do my ROC by Mid of March...will it be ok to overseas ( Philippines ) by April? Conditional Green card will expire June. And if it will still be ok to travel by April, I would most possibly be back before my GC expire.

When you say "have to do ROC by mid March......Conditional GC expires June", Is that within the 90 days prior to expiration of the GC? Just checking as sometimes people get confused with dates

If Y, once you file, you will get an extension of the GC for 1 year. The questions is how early in April you are traveling.

yes that will be 90 days to the date when the GC expires. I am not really quite sure how soon I can possibly travel. I was hoping that first week of April will be. but if not then the GC is a priority more than anything else.

You can travel on the extension letter as it extends the GC for 1 year. Take along the original extension letter and check with your airlines to see that they accept it and know what it is--this is not a time to be cheap on airfare. Going with a major carrier that knows what the extension letter is can save a lot of grief. Also, there will be the biometric appointment about 1 month after you submitt the application. I would wait until that is done before travelling.

As to paying the fee....do you pay the Biometric fee separate to that of the ROC fee ( I-751 )?

You submit the ROC form along with payment that includes the ROC fee ($505) and the biometric fee of $85 for a total ROC fee of $590. We wrote a single check payable to the "U.S. Department of Homeland Security" and sent it via express mail with a waiver for the signature (it is going to a PO Box, why require a signature?)
