Hi all,

I sent AOS and supporting documents on October 28th, 2014. I received a letter from NVC on Nov 7th saying that they have received my documents and it would take at least 60 days to review it. I applied for IV online on Nov 8th. I was reading some forums here and looks like some of them had their cases closed in less than a month. Is it normal to be under review for this long? And what should I expect next?

Thanks!

Yes, the NVC does require 60 Days to review documents.

Quoted from NVC site "Please allow 60 days for the NVC to review your forms and documents." It takes just little over 2 months to get the email. Try calling them and see what they say.

It is "normal" for NVC to take up to 60 days to review documents. You can't really judge waiting times on forums because everyone's case is different, and all countries are different. Your best bet would be to check out the India portal to gauge a better idea. It looks like all your documents are in according to your timeline. If you sent your IV package in November you will likely get a case complete sometime this month, as long as you don't receive a checklist. Good luck! :)
